I ran V1/YaV1/Redline from January 2016 until R1/R3 series came out. Sold RL to buy R3. I may just go back to V1/JBV1/Redline O until Christmas comes from V1 or Radenso! It was a killer combo w/ RL Ka only!

If you loved V1 with YaV1 you're going to be in for a treat with JBV1's evolution into an enthusiasts every desire.

Just curious, why go back to the RL instead of going with V1/JBV1/R3?

I left R3 and went to V1 and even my unit being 3.863 and very out dated I don’t feel that the KA sensitivity is earth shatteringly better on the R3. My old V1 has saved me with very far detections, not to mention the laser detection is in my opinion better on the V1 than my R3. People have different experiences this is just my opinion, one thing is forsure the build quality blows the Rs out of the water.

I agree with you about the build quality, but both my Redlines and R1's blow my V1 out of the water on off axis pickups! My V1 murders them on laser however! Out in the open on straight up on axis shots my V1 hangs right with them up to about 4 miles or so.

I have to agree, I did not judge off axis pickups but the R3 forsure smoked my V1 on off axis detections. Good point

I've said it hundreds of times, the "new V1" needs a lot of off axis help and a touch more range to make it an up to date killer! Throw in a screen that shows the frequencies and I'm all in! I prefer a stand alone detector, but I'm not knocking apps!

Will R3 and V1 play well together? V1/RL always seemed to play well together.

I run V1/JBV1 now. Just may add a lil extra protection!

AFAIK they do. Range seems to be the same whether I have only one of them running or both on at the same time. I've had a very few missed alerts on one when both were in use simultaneously, but I can't know whether the cause was interference between the two.

This video brings back lots of good memories! My Redline and V1 combo worked perfectly together for years! When I first paired them up , my V1 spanked my Redlines @ss untill I got my Redline updated for the RDR toggle/ band seg update. From then on, my Redline did all of the spanking! I had it segged to just 5-8 with K band on in highway mode! Those were the days! My V1 had Ka guard off and no x band. K band was on as well.
