Not that I go looking for trouble, but I bought my jammers last summer and as soon as I buy, there’s no activity. Today on the xway on the way home I see an unmarked suv on the shoulder standing outside his drivers door obviously shooting laser. I’m in the middle lane so not being targeted.

So I take the next exit 2x and circle back trying to get hit (jammer set on receive only). I miss him both times but see him pull people over twice as I’m going opposite direction. He must have been giving warnings to let each of them go within minutes.

Never got it timed right and decided to go home. Lots of traffic at rush hour seems dangerous to be doing that at that time. But it’s all about safety.

Is this the sickness?

Oh well.

Is it a sickness? Yes. Do I have it? YES. I see a cop marked on Waze in a frequent laser trap nearby and I will drive through it. Generally get hit too... But if they are watching to see if you are speeding which of course if you know they are there you aren't, they are less likely to give you a shot. And as far as ticket time... They use electronic ticketing near me so they can pull over, issue a ticket and be back in the den shooting lidar in about 5 minutes.

Cool I'm not the only one that goes around looking on Waze for speed traps and drives through them LOL I specifically had some hot spots every time I go to West Palm. If you ever go through Lake Park Shores it's almost guaranteed hit. Downtown West Palm near Riviera Beach. They said out there in three or four of them with laser guns in school zones
They even made channel 4 news last week

I know the feeling. I've done the same many a time and on one occasion earlier this year, I went through half a tank of petrol with no success lol.

He was running his trap like this...

Back up the car in a gateway on the side of the motorway and laser oncoming traffic until he gets a victim. Chase them down and when finished, he would go to the other direction/side of the same motorway and do the same over there so he was able to work his way back and forth every time for his own convenience.

As often as I would drive around and try and get him to hit me, he would always end up nailing someone else before I got there so I was having to speed up my round trips considerably to get there first and I was driving the car (Golf GTI MK5) pretty hard so she was drinking fuel like a mofo from all the accelerating.

I gave almost an hour at this before he finished up and then he was gone. Very frustrating but I would still try again tomorrow if I had a similar opportunity though lol.

I used to chase down Escort Live laser reports just to find they were long gone. And I tried so may times in CT that I burned tanks of gas driving across the state over and over...never to get shot. They always had some other "sucker" pulled over. One day I'm in my home area and get hit. I NEVER saw any lidar in this county, so imagine my surprise.

You just never know when it will happen. Hang in there. It will happen!

Around here there are notorious speed trap spots so I just check them on Waze and can usually get shot depending on the time of the day. It’ll happen!

Back in the days before organized testing that was the only way to test your system
That could have got really expensive. LOL But on another note I like doing it because I gain a ton of information with every real encounter. Tons of stuff like favorite tactics, distances of shots, lanes targeted, guns used, marked or ghost cruisers, from the window or off the mirror shots...

Yep I do this, usually at least once a week. Waze live map is open on my computer at work all day and I check it often, if there is a pin nearby and I dont have any meetings I might step out for 10 minutes to go drive through it and get lasered. I will circle the trap a few times if needed to get hit. It's a sickness, but it's so much fun.

Imagine peacefully driving in the middle of the night and out of nowhere being alarmed by "Stalker, behind!"

I never have luck when I want to get hit. When I'm entranced in the comfort of my cruising speed, the odds increase substantially.

Although I'm faithful to helping the CSA community, in these situations it seems pointless to leave a waze pin where it will immediately be removed by someone without jammers. By the time I react and search for his hiding location, I'm a distance from the ideal mark anyway.

I just got a hit :350:

:offtopic: If your ever in SC, pay a visit to HORRY COUNTY, you'll be blasted with 34.7 35.5 33.8 24.15 ... but no laser hits. But there is some in the area. I've not encountered any....yet

Mass state police are required at every construction zone on the highway (and locals if there's a lane closure on byways), but they can't speed trap. Oh, and only on overtime hours, of course, so a nice fatty paycheck to sit there with blinkers on.

What this also means is most highway pins are just LEOs sitting in construction zones. Makes finding traps to crash hard...
