In theory it shouldn't matter. If there's a bug in the firmware, it affects everyone, you just don't do the combination of things that causes it to surface. That assumes they're reproducing and fixing actual bugs, of course.

If it's the frequent real world situation wherein they can't reproduce an issue and they're throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks, that's a different story. Fixing bugs from user reports is very difficult, since users often can't reliably provide steps to dupe.
Good points. But I wonder why I had never had a laser false with my Max 360 before updating with fw that's supposed stop laser falses, and then I have two of them in 2 or 3 days. Just another example of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." Unfortunately, Escort seems to be pretty good at issuing fw updates that break things that were otherwise working fine for some people.

Today, ran for about 5 hours total hitting various fun spots. 360c never got its narcolepsy disease. Was in remission. Worked will with EL on reports, aircraft vascar zones (which were dead on with the stripes across the road), picked up 34.614 US park ranger (up watching SB from #12-13 at Playlinda beach), other various 34.6xx FL traps, and one Ka 34.6xx speed sign up by Flagler beach. Zero BSM falses, nailed every Bushnell test (with it’s usual couple second delay). Oh, and some laser falses off the iPhones.

I think it knows it was ready to be strapped to the bumper hitch like in Chevy Chase Vacation movie, and decided to cooperate. Still going with R7 and such on way back. And when back at office will use electric shock therapy with DT plus... maybe get it to do a urban legend “update all” and fix it. The WiFi update is where the problem started.

Hopefully they will keep the detector and send you a check for the full purchase price. If you want to buy another Max 360, so be it. If you want to bu another brand, so be that as well. What you have been through is unacceptable.
I tried to get them to buy mine back but they refused. I sent it to them 3 times for laser falsing....up to four times a trip. Very bad company.

I called yesterday and they sent me a pre-paid label to ship it back again. Given their firmware and filtering issues it is hard to know if this is a faulty unit or faulty firmware. I know this has been documented with others during some testing as well. Prior to this firmware update the unit never exhibited this particular type of behavior for me though. I plan to include a thumb drive with that video file for them to review so they can see exactly the issue. Hopefully once they see it happening they will either look into my RD in more detail or their firmware.
My 360 arrived to Escort last Thursday AM to have them look into why my K-band detection responded so oddly to the c/o encounter (video above) - and also to replace the worn silver button they missed last time - it shipped out today and I should have it back this Friday. I sent in a thumb drive with the video above along with a lot of other details to help narrow it if needed as well. Last time my unit was in they kept it for the full 2 weeks, this time it was there for 3-4 business days. So....either they replaced the button and shipped it back or they quickly solved the issue and returned it. I guess I will find out what the notes say on Friday.

360c owners informed with your findings please- Mine they replaced a resister and updated all software and FW settings. They also sent me a magnetic wind shield mount and a coiled 12 volt cig power unit at no charge. I'm happy with the results so far overall I mean.

Another round of laser falses for me today. Although these were weird. It didn't go full tilt laser alert and flash for seconds at a time. Its like it was cutting itself off at a half alert. It would only get out maybe a half second tone then quit. Then half second tone then quit. Did that maybe 5 or 6 times within a couple minutes. Strange behavior.

IOS 13.2.3 with MAX 360 (Serial #79) running firmware 1.11. Attempted to connect BT using iPhone menu without any success or even finding the RD. Verified the BT is functioning on iPhone by connecting two cars. Escort really needs to test the code before releasing! Very frustrating that I can not adjust the RD settings or connect.

Called Escort TS and reinstalled the firmware using the manual process in the Escort Detector Tools application (v2.14.17). MAX 360 RD found on BT with iPhone!!!

FYI, I decided to run my 360 today (fw 1.11). Locked up on the way home. Not silently, the one-beep kind with no signal strength (grayed out signal strength indicators). That's the second time its done that on me with fw 1.11. And I hardly ever run it. Power cycling it made the lock-up go away.

Nope, not good. I had one nearly the first day I drove with 1.11 after updating. See my post above in this thread (https://www.rdforum.org/index.php?threads/91999/post-1332770). I drove with it for about a week, then went back to the R7. I decided to run the 360 again starting last night. Didn't take long to lockup again. The video is processing. I'll edit this post to add it once it's done.

EDIT: Video below. Note that I screwed up the FW number in the caption. It's 1.11, not 1.1. Note, as has previously been the case, it starts with an alert. You can see the frequency to begin with, but then it just disappears while locked up. The alert was strange, too. Never ramped at all.

C'mon man! It's clearly filtering a Bushnell!

In all seriousness, I really can't believe this is still happening...

Yeah, me either. I reloaded the 1.11 fw just now. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

I have nothing to compare the one I have right now with how it might of worked before.
I updated it as soon as I got it to 1.11.

I really have to look at it again. It’s been too quiet. Things that should be alerting, like some speed signs, are not even registering. Same with some door openers.

I might have to run around with a radar gun just for my own piece of mind. Shouldn’t have to, but I really don’t trust it yet. Something about how it’s operating doesn’t sit right with me.

I know I turned TSF off and I turned on all the K band toggles. Running AutonoX.

@EscortRadar, you see this? And the recent comments here? No one is trying to slam anyone. Testing out of curiosity to see if things are fixed, or units need to be sent back.

I've had more sleeping issues, and lockups, on my 360 in the last month that I really can't depend on this thing anymore. And I clearly remember my very first lockup happening just after updating to the latest firmware.

So, as we wait for the next firmware update with MRCD, let's hope they are getting down to the bottom of this bug...and fix it. I used to endorse the 360 before this bug issue. Last chance! Fix it! If they don't, it lights out for Cedar. There are better choices out there.

Did you use the green Software Update button to reload which only applies the latest update patch, or did you use Device>Update-All-Software to get a complete rewrite of the entire software? If not the latter you may want to retry updating all.

EDIT: Video below.
It looks like the unit cleared the visual alert and went back to 'highway' but kept alerting to the audio portion of the K-band alert that was 'stuck;, correct?

If so, that is the first time I have seen that behavior. The visual alert has always accompanied the audio alerts while the unit is 'locked up' for myself in the past.

^^^ Ditto. Something new. Not sure if it was locked or sleeping if came across new radar source? Broken record voice yapping in any case would be annoying.
