After having a TMG quad. I didn't care about the laser so and all the testing I've done the R3 has never gone off once. Anyways on my drive home today Northbound 95 I got hit by a stalker rlr and the R3 did Alert to it. In any case my TMG did its job I was doing 87 in a 70 and how'd it on auto kill and I was able to slow down to about 74 miles an hour before he probably got a clock on me. Drove right on by. Just how to test it against the stalker during the hurricane which was very recent so I felt pretty confident.
But during the testing obviously there are Sharp Shooting your headlights and Center Mass and when I had my older Redline band segment it went off every time but in any case the R3 has remained silent till today.
Also alerted to FHP using laser Atlanta in stealth mode.
Not that I need it cuz I have Jammers but it's nice to know it works anyway

Tell you what, if any of my 4 R1's go off against legit laser I'll be playing the lottery that day! I'm not holding my breath, I'll tell you that!

I must say...TMG is an incredibly thought out system.

Good luck with the lotto! My R1's are bad to the bone in every other way but as blind as a bat against laser! We have hit them over and over with every laser gun that @VariableWave has and nothing!

Trust me I know how bad they are on laser especially after during testing it never went off once. So this FHP cop was being sloppy and maybe shot me in the windshield I don't know it must have been a direct hit LOL I have tested it and it does go off with my laser tester but you got to get right up on it in any case all turned out well thanks to TMG

mine alerted the first day I had it on my car. I doubted it but slowed down and lo and behold there was a popo shooting laser around the corner no less. I have occasional faults since then no other live event

From my experience once in real life and three times during testing and obviously only confirmed during testing as we knew the gun used, etc. When hit by a Stalker XLR my R1 did alert and as I believe @PY004 said its because the beam is taller unlike other guns. Or was it @ThreePedals6.2 !? One of you guys told me at the meet in NY and it all made sense! :) When we ran the test in GA my R1 also went off to the same gun even though its still mounted up above the mirror! :police3:

I am so confused about your detectors. Mine has ALWAYS alerted to Laser. Like at the exact same time as ALP

Is there a benefit to turning off laser sensing on the R3 when one is running jammers, such as improved detection of other radar bands since the processor doesn't need to use cycles looking for laser?

I've been running my R7 (previously R3) with TMG triple and figure that the TMG's got the laser spectrum handled for me.

I've had several alerts with my R3 and the wifes R1
Had one yesterday in Eustis. Speed signs are always on K band, I muted the K band and had a 500 yard alert on laser. Local pd running lazer with a chase vehicle. 30 psl

Had a laser hit in Virginia with with the R3 and several in southern Georgia on I-95

No issues with either of mine alerting
