HI, all.
I really think my unit is somewhat more sensitive since I did segmentation and switched to K narrow. Here are 3 encounters I had recently:

1. C/O 35.503 off axis detection (rear horn) from a side road before the encounter. LEO is at 1:17

2. C/O 35.501 front detection. Same LEO as the 1st video, seen at 1:13 on the other side (left). Arrow bounced to sides and brief rear as I went under the overpass, but quickly set back to front until he passed by.

3. I/O 34.701 - LEO is in the median at 1:24. I get mostly C/O action around here, and so I am still getting used to the R7's I/O alerts. The ramp up/down was a bit strange I think. It seems as the alert holds for some time after the radar is switched off...

Wow, that first 35.5 sniff was damn impressive! Rear horn sensitivity is certainly a plus!

Some were saying that there is a 7 second delay after the radar is switched off. Nice videos.
Wow, 7 seconds. I knew there some delay, but did not think it would be that long... Thanks for the info!

Yes, anytime I get something worthy, I do share it here.

That was the reason I decided to post this video. I thought it was very cool it picked it up, even though it was so brief. Plus, there were trees and buildings in between. The rear horn is definitely very sensitive. It could be a very good thing (like in this case), but it could be a bit annoying when it comes to BSM falses...

OH-IO!
The 2nd one with the overpass can be verified using front radar as at about :15 seconds after the source passes the audible signal ramps up from the reflection of the overpass and then quickly dies off.

I see slightly less range with bands in the road with YaV1 with custom sweeps.

Maybe one of these times we will run into each other!
Quite possible...

Thanks for the input!
That's interesting. Do those custom sweeps have wide segments by chance?

Not sure what frequencies are Ka-wide. We have all three Ka-bands in Ohio.
