What's new in this release?
  • PAWS settings reorganized, defaults revised
  • PAWS suspicious filter improved
  • PAWS blacklist and whitelist (screens to manage these lists coming in future release)
  • Range meters changed from all red to green-yellow-red gradient
  • Fixed alert map does not auto hide when auto visibility enabled
  • Fixed overlay layout issue with V1 alerts when HD alert table disabled
  • Fixed crash in multi-window mode when marks button clicked
  • Retargeted to Android 10

I completely forgot about one important new feature:

Display > Alert Map > Auto Hide Buttons

When enabled, the button icons for settings, marks, and map control will auto hide after the selected period of time. A single tap anywhere on the map will bring them back up. Even when this option is disabled, you can still tap to show/hide the button icons.

Thanks again @johnboy00! :thanks: I'll be enjoying this release as I drive up to Bristol this morning and then Marion, NC after that. :)

I noticed the CSA alert meter was now a bar - did you say you were going to change the colors of it? I liked the other better but I guess if you make it change as you're closer it would help. Just glancing down at the phone it's hard to determine what's going on.

Range precision: 8-segment meter = 12.5%, 100-segment meter = 1%. Try 1.8.3 for a few days at least. Then, instead of telling me you like the 8-segment meter better, tell me what--specifically--you don't like about the new 100-segment meter.

I'll have a compromise for the alert screen alert table in the next update: A wedge-shaped meter very similar to the V1 signal strength meter, with same size and color scheme as the multi-colored V1 meter. Still has 1% resolution that I want. The overlay range meter needs to stay as a bar, because a taller meter takes up too much room.

Please re-read the release notes for an important feature that I completely forgot about: Auto Hide Buttons.

Thank you JB. Christmas in September.

Everyone please remember JB does this for FREE and I'm sure we would all pay for this amazing App that doesn't even need a V1, so please consider donating! You will never see him asking for donations, even probably say he doesn't need them, but we enjoy his work, let's do the right thing!

Thanks! I'll look through the settings again and try to figure it out.

@johnboy00 thanks again John. Question... Is it possible to add an adjustable frequency range slider for the screen flasher option? I drive in an area where there is a ton of false k band alerts but the state troopers use k band. Would be nice to let the users set the k band bracket for the flasher ie; 24.148-155 flash only and the other frequencies react normally with no flashing. Thanks!
