Was sitting here reflecting on our hobby, and thought it would be fun to raise a glass to a few of the detectors that have been "game changers" or historically significant.

heres to the gamechangers.png

It is crazy how technology has changed so much to accomplish the same task. The landscape has sure changed, where you were able to accomplish quality products in your own home with some quality equipment to turning into 100's of thousands and millions of dollar projects for research and design. The engineering feats of today would of never been dreamed of 50 years ago.

What is the top left one?
lol - the TOP Left one was my very 1st RD I bought in 1970 for my Corvette. It was made by Radatron Corp. in North Tonowanda,NY. A suburb of Buffalo. (my hometown).
I actually went to the factory but they wouldn't sell me one, sent me to a local Electronics store that sold them. It didn't run off car battery...instead it took 2 AA batteries.
Wasn't very sensitive even trying to sniff those old MPH X-band that NY Troopers used back then, generally you were in kill zone when above 65mph when it alerted ! I found out the hard way once !!

@Jon at Radenso - tks for the Post, it brought back olde memories.
(p.s. - will your next Model make the "List",- hmmm, ?)

Call me noob. But I was barely alive back then and for sure had no idea what a radar detector was or even they existed

But that escort. Is that the detector mike and his buddy first made?

I can't think of what would make the next one an actual 'game changer'?
For me it would have to do with BSM filtering.
-On the fly BSM learning/filtering?
-Bluetooth updatable BSM filtering?

We already have fast processors, long range and directional capability.

I feel like this is a teaser for something new...

Scratch that, I KNOW this is a teaser for something new! I can't wait to see what fills that bottom right spot.

Is that a new Radenso logo to boot?

And how could you leave the redline out of that chart? I wasn't even an escort fan at that time (long live the V1 lol) but that was as much a game changer as the V1 and R3.
