Damn it I am yet to be hit by LIDAR on BOTH ALP and TMG and it's been 2 years my ROI is looking bleek.

You won’t see too much lidar in your area unless you get on the beltway or take 290 toward downtown. 99 will be mostly radar.

hah I am the opposite. Two performance cars, getting hit constantly via visual confirmation on I95 in CT (almost 1x a day with laser). its almost muscle memory to pull back my foot at a certain exit. Until I get some countermeasures set up I have turned Granny. So while your investment hasn’t paid off just yet, I am self insuring and having to drive like an old man.

And my wife is taking note...that's the worst part.

Since she drove it, she was only hit once and that was near Haymarket VA and it's been about 2 years ago.......since than nada.

I envy you all who get hit all the time!
Just uninstall your jammer system and you'll get hit the next day. Works every time.

Gotta say, I was definitely a bit disappointed when I didn't get hit over labor day. 3 speed traps, one radar, one already had a client, the last one was laser but facing the wrong way.

Driving down to CT soon so expect I'll be lit up at least once!

Same. I was expecting a party all over and all I got was some random KA hits on the back roads in small downs/school areas so it was a given to not speed anyway...

I feel your pain - saw two or three laser traps in my city last summer - never saw them use laser before. Bought jammers and have only seen them once since then. But hey I’ll take it. Don’t want to play with fire.

Its not a bad thing that you don't get hit. Jammers allow you to drive freely, free from worry about tickets, speed traps, etc. Thats the real benefit. The frequency of getting hit doesn't really affect that. You feel just as free whether you get his once a month or once a year.

One more thought, if you drive like I do, one save can pay for a jammer system.

What @TheJM said. It only takes one save. I've had 2 legitimate "Oh! Fuck me!" Saves this year..... Just posted the one I had today. As i mentioned in another thread, the more sporadically you get hit the more likely it is that is save will be a real save. By that i mean real money, court and insurance costs.

I’ve been hit 3 times in VA, all of them were PL3. One in Alexandria, then in Arlington and one on the Dulles toll road.

I have had my ALPs over 5 years with no saves, and over a year with LIs and only 1 save. I still feel unprotected without them for some reason

I have one better for you. I have ALPs on my Jeep and the TPX system on my Ducati. What do you think happens? I get hit with Lidar (and pulled over) doing +14 on my little 125 cc motorcycle that doesn't have lidar protection! Luckily, the cop showed me the PL3 displaying 59 mph and I told him my little 125 can't go that fast. He Googled it (yep, right there in the squad car) and found that the published max speed for my bike was 57 mph. He told me to have a nice day and never wrote me a ticket, LOL.

But seriously, I get hit with Lidar when riding on my little bike even though I spent the cash to protect the Ducati. :shifty:
