Just looking for any users out there that can tell if the Max 360 can filter out the new Hondas. I tried and tested two redline ex before giving up on Escort and returning them. I'm currently using a pro m but miss my auto lock outs and I do not want to drop 650 bucks and have the same full tilt alerts from the Hondas. Thanks in advance for any replys

The 360s certainly do a superior job in BSM filtering than the EX. What’s concerning is that a few members are chiming in that the “silent sleeping” bug is still not fixed on the 360. I enjoy my 360 for the family SUV (as the family isn’t as tolerant to “beep beep” as I am). There are still a few scenarios where you will get a punch through, but its much more of a gradual alert/ramp than on the EX.

Yes, auto lockouts are nice, but I find the R3 does a nice job of filtering things out (especially with 1.50 and K block) & quite ride (I have mine set to 40mph - so any encounter below 40 will just beep once and then mute unless I’m over 40). Doesn’t the Pro M have a similar feature? (I ask as I’ve never run a Pro-M).

FWIW - you can pick up the 360 (non-C) for ~$100 or so less than the 360C, and I’m sure one of the models will be on sale for Labor Day...

Edit to add link to other posts. M360 - Randomly Sleeping

Yes it does. 2 options. Adjustable.

The most common is AutoCity mode.
Set the lower threshold so anything under that lower speed just beeps once.
In between it uses the X/K/Ka band filter levels. 0 to 9

Above the upper adjustable threshold it jumps to highway and ignores almost all city filters. The only one that stay engaged is the TSRej K band filter. “Traffic Sensor Rejection”

The other is a setting used if you prefer to run highway or city mode. It’s adjustable too.

It’s called “Speed Setting For Radar Alert”.

Thanks for that explanation! I sure that at some point in my future I will have a Radenso product, albeit might be their next platform.

Based upon those settings, one would image the OP should be able to dial the unit in unless they are in an area with a large number of stationary falses.

I can’t comment in the 360. I sold it a while ago.

The R-EX I do have. Not a huge fan personally. BSM and no ramp up on MRCD alerts.

The thread isn’t about the Pro-M so I don’t want to pollute the OP’s thoughts. Short answer. The pro-m doesn’t have issues with Honda’s or Acura’s. Just Mazda’s right now from what I’ve seen.

If you turn on MRCD/MRCT there are more false BSM PT’s.

Large amount of false signals isn’t too bad. You have room for 2600 lockouts. Outside of the V1’s way of learning and blocking the false signals, (Which I would prefer), I found the Pro-M’s current way it deals with it better than the R-EX, R3 and R7 against k band false alerts and a legitimate K band threat when the frequencies are in Unidens +/- .035 window.

it at least released the previous locked out signal with GPS. It did better at audibly warning you of a secondary K band threat down the road than the R7 and R3 in that window.

I just tested that last month.

I know that Uniden is working on correcting or improving it as we speak for the R7. This may not be a an issue in the near future for the R7 if all goes well.

I’m not sure that the improvements will come for the R7 before the OP’s 30 day window closes.

I haven’t tested how the R3/R7 react when the signals are outside the .035 window.

I have the Max 360. It picked up several different vehicles until I updated the firmware now its perfect in that respect. Only issue I have now is it goes off every time I receive an email on my iPhone unless I leave certain apps running. very annoying.

My 360c rocks-BSMs what are those? LOL its truly quiet, nothing to complain about here. Love the WiFi updating no more wired updates!! Auto lock outs rock as well. Not the distance of the R3 but plenty of warning time to get one down to the PSL!!

I really like my Max 360. I find the BMS filtering quite good. It's a quiet detector. In the real world, it gives me lots of notice to slow down in time for the real LEO's.

Thanks, I may go back to Escort but I wanted to be sure I wasn't spending top dollar and still getting false alerts from those Hondas

My 360 models/platform in inventory all do fantastic job with the latest 24.16x and close BSM Honda and others use. The traditional higher freq Honda are also knocked out. FYI.

With the exception of the auto lockouts, that pro-m has the best filtering. A little tweaking of the settings and I would be confident you’d be happy. If you deal with mrcd/ct you have the best in that regard too. You’ll also appreciate the directional gps database which is something I miss on my R7.

I do not want to disagree. I am though. I use both platforms. The 360 platform has the edge with op question. And over all. Plus, I was disappointed with the Pro M performance in our recent K band testing. The 360c did significant better when you compare both for settings needed for street use against BSM. I even had my head up my rear thinking I was ok to run the Pro M with TsRejHigh or low off. I thought I had turned them off, and BSM filtering was working. Not true. I will no longer defend the Pro M as a overall effective device against K band. It is not against the Kustom HR and others who are lower power, and have creative antenna design. Using the recommended settings on Pro M may have if running quiet, but make it a ticket notifier in our and previous Wisconsin testing. Sure, if someone is going 30mph, should be able to react. Suburban or highway speed, nope. The 360c does give enough notice to react well (C/O) in our testing.

The R series kill them both in raw range. However, using typical most silent as possible setting slaughters them too. Compared to their excellent/top K capability. They should provide just enough range in quiet tweaks to be effective overall on K. I bring these up outside of @Michael Smith op question because so many Uniden fans hang out here in ER area.
