It has been rather quiet. After the R1/R3 firmware update.

I think the focus shifted a lot to the R7, however, Uniden did release a new firmware (1.50) for the R1/3.

Other than the occassional FW update, I'm not anticipating anything new or exciting for at least a couple years.

I feel like our relationship with Uniden has changed a little. Not that they are doing anything bad. They just don’t seem as enthusiastic and involved as they were before. There may be a good reason for that on their part too, I don’t know but nevertheless it does seem like they have changed a little. But then there is a lot going on for them, the development of the auto lockouts they advertised and the patent disputes. So they may just be busy on other things.

What is the latest with Uniden Autolockouts? I could use those in my wife's car. Just got an R7 as a long range alternative to her MAX II, but the BSM stuff is not as bad as I expected, so this may become a full time RD in this car.

Until then, I have some training to do.

Still waiting for better MRCD performance for the R7
Where do you live/drive? Not sure better MRCD is a big priority for Uniden. If it is really important to you, say more than long range, Radenso Pro M is probably better for you.

Hi Edmonton Alberta I want to keep my R7
Info on this forum says Uniden made a special
Trip in Canada specifically for MRCD
I missed that too.

I believe that was some time ago, last year, but the Alberta boys will confirm...

Hey Guys,

I'm sorry for what seems like less attention on the forums. I can assure you that I monitor them very closely! We've been busy training new customer service agents, and getting ready for our busy Holiday Season.

If you guys need any questions answered specifically, you can always PM me here! No harm in that at all.

Maybe you could ask the programers to speed up the response time of the arrows changing directions on the R7? It seems to be slow at showing the RD Gun direction if it moves around... Front to Side to Back

I know I'm new to the R7, but the arrows are changing right on target in my experience. Actually faster than my MAX 360. The only time it may get confused is when there are radar reflections that would radiate a strong secondary path (multi-path). That is to be expected. I am also running the latest firmware.

As for BSM falses, not any worse than my MAX 360. May actually be better, which surprises me. Yesterday I had two legitimate K band encounters for Sheriff Department cars in an area I had locked out K band door openers. I started to reach for the Mute/Lockout button when the signal level came up significantly to indicate this was no weak door opener. The RAMPUP is really very good on this R7. The very few BSM hits and door openers are much lower in signal than the real deal. And with K alarm set on a softer sound, it's not annoying when I do get short falses. I did a followup lockout run at all the shopping areas I locked out on the long four-town/city area my wife visits, and all were still locked out. Nice and quiet! I like this RD.

This is good news. I have been a bit hesitant to get the R7 as I like how quiet my Max 360 is. If the R7 is as quiet (with the proper settings), I may get one.
