For the sake of addressing and clearing up a couple things related to this, and this really only applies to the period after the tentative transfer agreement was made, the only person on the server for at minimum the past couple days with the ability to demote people has been me - and the only the demotions that I even recall doing during this time frame were of the following users:

v1user
CJR238
xydrine

And these demotions only happened within about 30 minutes prior to the server going down for transfer last night at midnight.

After we had a more clear understanding that there would be a transfer coming we put a halt to substantial administrative actions like this and policy changes and the removal of forums such as far off topic and the political social group which cjr made an announcement about earlier in the week. If I recall correctly I think I even posted in that announcement saying something along the lines of the above.

Regardless of any of this, the new Administration is now in full control and any issues going forward relating to any of this should be discussed with them.
Thank you for the clarification. Just to put an end to this matter as I believe all parties do just want to move on, my reference here was for advanced members like myself and several others that were demoted prior to this period.

Understanding the past is water under the bridge and our collective best days are ahead, I just wanted to document this and hope all of us can refrain from discussing matters that have no relevance on our collective positive future going forward.

Got ya, and agreed!

Come to think of it, that actually makes sense now that I think about it more.

I would assume when you say recently you are probably referring to right after a large portion of the old Administration resigned. And most likely that affected all of those people.

When you delete a moderator or admin, if xenforo is set up to grant additional user groups to a user when they are made a moderator or admin, it will revoke those user groups when they are deleted.

@KASHER1979 actually contacted us after we removed your guys's admin and moderator abilities because he was removed from Advanced status as well. At the time I didn't think anything of it and figured it was probably just a mistake but hearing that some of you guys were recently demoted as well, and I'm going to guess that it it was at minimum all of the staff members who recently resigned, the aforementioned xenforo functionality would explain why that happened.

At least as of the server transfer last night revoking admin and mod privileges in the future should not remove anybody from any elevated access groups other than admin and mod because I cleaned up a bunch of the older settings and unused and no longer relevant user groups, but I mention all this just as an FYI to @PY004 and the new Administration in case they run into something like this in the future.

But regardless you guys are in good hands relating to the technical side of administering a forum, PY004 is extremely knowledgeable about that and a lot more.

Any Advanced or just FOT? FOT was locked so no new content could be posted, but you should be able to post in other Advanced areas.
Any advanced. I don't have access to reply to my own thread in Adv. Non-Man. It's no biggie right now though

@xydrine ,

As the transition has been successful I feel it's time for me to say my thank you to you. I know this has been a controversial few weeks and emotions were flowing from all sides. At the end of the day, we are all mortals who walk along the path of life and sometimes our lives cross. When it was time, you handed over the RDF platform over to new management and it is clear that you supported the new management team. You clearly put the CM community ahead of everything that has been going on and thus, here we are, back "at home". At this pivotal time of so many of our lives intersection, when it came down to it, you did what was right - so thank you.

So with that, the past is past, and everyone will deal with things their own way. From me though, thanks for handing over the keys in a peaceful manner and for allowing the CM to continue along the process of building the best platform there is to talk about CM in the world.

Whatever is ahead for you, I wish you well and all the best.

Kind regards,
AngryPenguin

Hello RDF!

It feel great to be back home! Thank you to all of you that put your trust in us to lead the community. We will continue to do our best to make sure that we are always moving forward in the right direction. :)

For those of you that may not be aware, the New Forum Ownership/Administration includes.

1. @KASHER1979
2. @Andrew21
3. @PY004
4. @RaggedEdge

We will be making official announcements soon with more details about the staff that will be working with us here.

At this time while we are finishing the transition and getting things ironed out we ask that everyone refrain from sending PMs about non-urgent type issues for the next day or so.

And remember if you have questions about promotions or forum security issues you need to Contact me, or one of the SD Moderators.

If you have questions about something needing moderated on the forum you need to contact @Andrew21 or one of the forum Moderators.

If you have questions about technical issues , or things not working on the forum you can contact @PY004, but since we are still working on the transition most issue will probably go away on their own within the next

24-48 hours so please try to remain patient and wait before contacting him.

Once again, I am very please to be back and working for you guys to keep our forum secure and running as smoothly as possible.

I speak on behalf of the entire administration when I say we are all very humbled and greatful to have this opportunity to continue with RDF and the great things that it has became over the years.

Thank you to the old Administration for the help with the transition and all that you did for our community.
It all began with the forging of the Great Rings. Four were given to the Admins; immortal, wisest and fairest of all beings.

Since you are deleting my posts, it is only fair you delete your and erase any one sided posts. :)

Do it...

Since you are deleting my posts, it is only fair you delete your and erase any one sided posts. The proper thing to do.
The title of this thread is, "Transition Successful!". That means Xyd transferred the RDF assets to AAKP LLC and AAKP LLC transferred the funds to Xyd. AAKP LLC owns RDF, Xyd is no longer an admin, any help he is giving Paul is being funneled through communications that the two of them have, Xyd does not have direct Admin access to the forum.

Or indirect admin access?

Thank you for the clarification.

I completely agree with this statement. On the other hand I struggle with the following statement of implied censorship.

I will start deleting posts if this returns.
Is this not part of the reason why individuals fled from the likes of RD.net & ERF and part of the catalyst as to why some members took a hiatus from RDF?

If a member is acting out, is there not another way to address the member that provides transparency and potentially giving them a “cool off period”? Maybe removing the post from the thread, but providing a hyperlink to the post(s) in question, following by action taken?

I’m not a MOD, nor have I ever been a MOD. I applaud everyone for their time devoted to RDF, and agree with need to keep the energy here positive. Just want to ensure this is facilitated in a transparent fashion.

Just my 2 pennies.

Rest assured posts will be deleted for the right reasons and not the wrong. All that was deleted here was stuff that could have been handled in a PM and kept from derailing a perfectly good informative on-topic thread.
Let's carry on please.
Sorry I just felt I needed to address this.

There is a difference between deleting posts because you want to hide competitor information and only sell and support your product preference and deleting posts that are made to excite negativity. At this point the history is beyond us and it does not have to keep being dragged on because some people want to keep the drama going. I am sure that more than the majority of members here just want to keep moving forward in a positive atmosphere and get back on track.
