Not necessarily. I called in just to ask about the V1. I didn’t say I was Vortex in an effort to try and get more answers or anything. So I don’t m think what they told me is any more or less valid than what they told anyone else in this particular case.No disrespect to others that called, but I believe when Vortex calls he gets the truth...
You see, this is where they get you. The V1 will be cheap, but they'll gouge you on the dehydrated cheese.
Seems like every call is a different answer still. From having parts now with changes to still not having parts and no changes..I just called to preorder. They said it's basically the same unit. No changes to performance or features. They didn't know the details though unfortunately. They said they expect to get the parts in in 2-3 weeks and start shipping sometime in September.
Price-wise it'll be $400-something, but they're not sure what the exact price will be. They're going to get back in touch with me when they're ready to ship. I said that if I have a 3.8945 already and if there's some changes and improvements, we can order then. If it's the same thing, I'll just cancel my order. They were cool with that. Hopefully it's something new... finally.
If that is true, that's good news indeed. Being able to detect low powered radar (Gatso/MRCD/MRCT) without having to run TMF2 off would be of benefit to many V1 users.I called this morning and they said it would have better filtering . I asked about TMF3 and they said no comment
