V1 WILL be updated

Pretty sure the V1 ranks have lost members on this very forum to other detector vendors. With no product to sell, you aren't going to make it on accessories alone. Get too close to the release of another product and folks are likely to sit on their money and let them duke it out to see what's best.

Not sure what you mean...you can't lose a follower, unless they are in the market for a V1 now. For those who have V1's and are happy with them, this "shortage of parts" is a non issue. If you think there was someone here that used to be happy with his V1 until the parts shortage came about, and now he is looking for a different detector from another vendor, I can't see the logic.

Either way at this point any current V1 sales (used or 3rd party sales) are not directly benefitting MV.
Time (and eventually maybe MV) will tell...

I get that. Thank you. What I am asking..... your R7 audio alert said laser. The sound I think was default for laser. Was that a laser fixed speed trap or MRCT? Or did the R7 mis label the alert?

As mentioned, if laser, that is something newer in US. If t is labeled MRTC, your R7 alert was very bad because of what I indicated in the comment.

Based on what I saw there, the had what looked like Laser in one direction and in the other MRCD/T. It picked up the laser and alerted and then MRCD alert hit. There's another location I know of that was set up similar. There's 2 schools.. When they 1st setup the stationary traps, it was laser in both direction, sometime in the past year, they changed one to MRCD, but not the other.. So in this area, I will get a laser alert in one direction (most times), but always get MRCD. My R3 is more finicky with laser.. What I mean by this is that it was only piccking up laser alerts about 20% of the time... My R7 is more than 50%.

BTW, I'm not sure why, but there another school that use to have a laser trap (It's now MRCD). When it was laser based, bother my Rs would rarely alert to it.. I'm talking like 10% of the time. I don't know if it's the laser gun used in these units or what, but there's something that causes more alerts, maybe I should say better, than in others

Thanks for the clarify. That is some tough stuff to deal with. Not typical for now around the country. Thanks for describing how you observe their tactics and systems.
