This is a test of the first of the month emergency two week broadcast system. If this were a real event, you would be instructed to go to VR web site, or listen to your local AM civil defense radio designated for your area....

This is a test. Stay tuned in two weeks for another test of the emergency two week VR broadcast system.

It would be really sad to lock this thread, mostly because I know someone else would just create another one.
Don't we have some rule about posting troll threads/posts? Could actually be beneficial to close this one and lie in wait..... ;)

nah.... Go back to your important work on FPGA and RD dissecting post. Leave this place be. It is like the vent for the matrix anomaly. Keeps the RDF matrix whole. A Neo kind of thing. Kill it, generations of body batteries will be lost. :)

This thread can be compared to Nathaniel Hawthorne works. Basically 800 page book that can be compressed to 100 pages without loosing any important story lines and content. I mean the dude spent 4 pages describing a wooden door in intricate detail. God how I hated reading his works in high school.

Or maybe V1 users could use all this energy to discuss novel ways to use AI via your phone. There is a GM filter in JBV1. Would be interesting how accurate a properly trained NN would do just using information such as your speed of travel, direction of travel, location, the signals' frequencies from the V1, and the signals' strengths from the V1. If feasible I think the results actually might be surprising, probably more effective than any logical statements we could implement.

If this is interesting maybe someone can run with this in another thread. It would certainly bring a major "update" to the V1 if this were applied to lockouts and all other mute/unmute functions handled by an app.

I think you're being generous. I'm not sure you could fill a single page sifting through all of this garbage. Imho, that's kind of the objective of keeping this going so the mods can just poof it when Mike finally pulls back the black curtains.

@Buz, I wonder how close you are to someone with JBV1?

I don't think Valentine designs with the "total silence in a potential threat situation" mindset.
It seems to be a repeating pattern that he'd rather you be aware of a false than not aware of a real threat.

I'd expect that to continue in the future.
Even JB follows that philosophy.

Thank you.
This thread is a sacrificial goat. It keeps the "predators" away from the herd.

A $NZ1500 or more detector is starting to get Stinger syndrome. Reaching the point where a ticket is cheaper.
Unless it detected cops not using Radar or Lidar at a distance of at least 5 km, it's not for me.

First off, if this has been said before, my apologies. Thread is too big to read through and I left the initial discussion a long time ago.

I’m starting to legitimately wonder if we are ever going to see the V1 come back in stock under MV. This has been going on for so long without a unified front from VR with a solid explanation that I find it far fetched that it is a simple parts issue.

IMHO, something did not work right in a final phase of testing an upgraded unit. That could explain everything. They wouldn’t want to give a legit answer because they wouldn’t want to let the cat out of the bag on the upgraded model.

what happened to that user that posted they drove by VR and seen them testing the new unit?

As we always say, “If there are no pictures, then it didn’t happen!”! But I don’t think we have heard from him since.

We need @Jon at Radenso to drive by VR before he heads to SEMA next week and checkout what Mike has in his Porsche! Hey Jon hook us up, you get an extra hour this weekend anyway, please?

He's busy spying on other radar detector manufacturers.

The information he brought to us was unusual and hard to accept. Any information that is a departure from what we expect is hard to accept at first. (And, it could have been a fabrication.)

It's certainly okay to question things but collectively we should be saying things like,
"Thanks for the info. That's hard for me to believe. Do you have anything that would help me to be convinced?" or
"That's some interesting info. We will hopefully see more soon!"

Instead, new people with unexpected information are often quickly met with what equates to an immature, "You are a liar!"
Why would he come back???

If he had the ability to give us any further observations; collectively we told him we weren't interested, thus, we wait in the dark. :(

If Radenso gets their new AI based detector to market before V1 returns from their “2 week delay”, I would say that Valentine Is done for.

Yeah it's a little confusing. I can have a custom built 3000gal reactor fabricated quicker than he can get the custom "potentiometer", or other parts. And that's with all the craziness and steel prices not being held for more than a day at times.

Not apples to apples, but after a while this becomes harder and harder to believe.

I think right now he's either selling and moving inventory, or letting his employees find new jobs with a generous timeframe to the end of 2019*.

OR, something happened with rolling out a change. Unexpected patent delays, not happy with the performance, etc.

I'm no longer certain the V1 will be updated. I'll say this, I certainly wouldn't bet my livelyhood on it with this showing in 2019.
