Not what I wanted to hear. I may be mistaken but I think BlueV1 stated in another thread that the power cord has been a problem. I do recall reading something when I was ordering the cord that a number of people had a failures with the in line fuse holder on the smart cord. Probably on Amazon reviews.
Well as long as @uniden doesn't step in to fix all we can do is bring more visibility to the issue. If you're gonna charge a premium price deliver premium product.

FWIW, I think the official account is @UnidenSupport but I've not seen any sign of interaction since "UniJen" (as she was nicknamed) was supposed to have taken over.

I'd be inclined to send it in to Uniden for a warranty repair/replacement. I don't have any issues like that with mine.
Mine did it a few times after I 1st got it. But it wasn't during boot up. It would happen just after boot up. Power cycling fixes it. Yesterday it happened again when I was leaving the office. Happened 3 times in a row then was fine. fw 124.

I can assure you all that "UniJen" is here! We've been very busy lately, adapting to a new role and training new customer service agents. I do monitor these pages very closely daily. With this original post- I would suggest sending the unit in for service(especially since you have done your troubleshooting and following advice of other posters.) I can send you steps through PM on how to send the unit in for service.

But for other guys following this, I'm always here. For any immediate concerns or questions- I have my inbox open for you guys! :) I've just been busy, and playing a few roles here in the office.

Do offer a cross ship? After spending 600 on rd at month old only, waiting several weeks without RD is very inconvenient and frustrating

I am also having random "GPS error" issues. The first time it happened, all of my user settings were reset to factory settings. Since applying the latest firmware update I have had the GPS error happen three times. When this happens, all of the buttons (mark, mute, etc) stop functioning except for the power button.
