@chakeubeam Made me two cpu mounts using 3D printing, they were very nice, the fit was exact, and they worked perfectly. However, both have melted now (pic of 2nd one below) in the sun, so looking for some ideas using different materials? Aluminum or maybe even wood....Anything that can be painted black to match the interior will be good. Thanks.

I am following you quest as I have a similar interior in my F36. Currently I have the control unit between my seat and the center console, less than ideal to access anything besides the power button.

You clearly want to do it. Go for it and see what happens. No one here is going to be able to tell you any more than they have :)

What was @chakeubeam using for material? I would think ABS should hold up well.

PLA was used for less warping. I do have an SLA printer that would work better but is in no way economical for these.

@chakeubeam Appreciate all you did, the mounts were great.

After Jag42 recommended against using a magnetic mount due the cpu speaker, I looked at different options, but am leaning towards the strong two sided tape others recommended. Not
my first choice but will give it a try.

If you’re going to go that route, why not 3M Dual Lock? It lets you easily (well, relatively) remove it in case you need to do something to it or inspect connections or whatever. You can find it all day long on Amazon or at local stores in 1” widths as sections or rolls. You can even get 2” wide:

3M Dual Lock Reclosable Fastener SJ3560 250 Clear, 2 in x 6 Ft Amazon.com: 3M Dual Lock Reclosable Fastener SJ3560 250 Clear, 2 in x 6 Ft: Office Products

I must say. My installer and anyone seen the install cpu, heads both front and rear.
And the simplicity of using tmg defender light app and it connects with 1 click and it ask if you want to do update if available. This unit is simply awesome. Another top competitor is great but my installer who installs alp and now TMG, says the cpu, feel of it, the ease of install and the adjustable clips each head rest in the nipple, allowing you to lock down alignment.
This is just an honest opinion who installs for a living.
I can tell you after having a laser Interceptor CPU which was a complete joke compared to TMG as far as communication and just pretty much anything really. TMG has been nothing short of Excellence. Here's a picture of my Rears just installed last week and a picture of my front
Cannot wait to test front and rear gears since they have all been read mounted for alignment hopefully we're supposed to get together on the 31st of August weather providing will see I'm anxious to see how I do.
If I have to move the front in a little more but I don't think I will it looks like they're a little too straight it's hard to explain because of the curvature of the car but I should be good to go if there's any issue I have the 3M tape and I can simply remount within 15 minute but I think I should be fine. You can see each of the front head is facing inward so it's straight with the front of the car even though the picture that shows both the sensors straight on doesn't necessarily look so straight even though they are. Only testing will confirm and if they test as good as they did the first time I am not touching them because they're mounted on top and bottom and they're 100% level

Good to hear. Nice setup, however your front heads appear to be really sticking out?

I used industrial velcro tape. It comes off if you pull slow the few times you may have to remove it! ;)

Velcro cpu
3m for mg heads/mount
I use 3m up top once I get it level for additional stability as my focus 2013 grille is flat, level.
TMG just sent me rears after waiting 2 months in case they got new heads and just like that, I got 2 new heads. Lol
I was at 192ft. on 1st run against compact dragon
If I can redo those results wit jtg everything else especially the stalker lineup xlr, rlr, or, all new stalkers everywhere in area I drive from boca Raton north to port st Lucie Florida.
Need good stalker results and will only know if I need a head adjustment at the meet where I'm rdy to remount and retest in under 15 minutes but I think I'm good.

Use the 3m body and molding tape... I use it to hold CPU, speaker, and heads etc and it's never let me down even in the Florida heat.

I tried Velco before for the CPU, but couldn’t get it to mount properly always sagged a bit as its on an angle. Today I tried a double sided strong tape recommend from Angry Penquin.

Will see how it goes, so far so good...
