Here’s a quick update on the install of the V2 components on the 911. I have only done the rear of the car at this point because I really hated the way the original RX sensors looked on this car. The front install is basically invisible, so I need to muster some motivation to rip the front-end apart to change out the v1 heads. Since the car is invisible as it is, it may be a while before I get around to it.

I updated the CC to v2 and installed front and rear laser centers. The three sets of rear RT/TX were updated to V2 fiber.

The RX/TX is not my permanent install until I get a chance to test. Currently the center is siliconed in place. The left and right are mounted with Sugru. After my experience with the hot glue on the AMG, I will probably go that way with the permeant mount. I will also probably mount the center in the license plate like I did on the AMG since it looks so clean.

Nice work so far. I'll be interested in seeing how it performs with the heads slightly recessed like this. I have conditions on my car that would make it easier if I could leave them a little recessed but I've been concerned in doing so because changing that would mean rerouting in my case. Other manufacturers caution against this but Stinger does not specifically say it's no good.

They are slightly recessed (a couple mm), but they are visible from all angles, so it should work fine. I'll update with testing results when I get some time and a second set of hands to run the gun.
