LEO rule violation
Simple. For a man that writes these tickets for a living. That was clearly an OCPD marked unit in that video.

Decatur (K Band) has been around in our closets for over 20 years from when they were new. Some 2013-up Ford Intercepteors have hard-wired Kustom Signals RP-1 (Ka Band) which is what you'll see the most. We can't get new radars for those that have broken...so it's either this or that...

When they break, there's no clear path to getting them fixed. Only the motor jocks (motorcycle units) have access to LIDAR such as the Kustom Pro-Laser III and others - but they were bought with a grant. They are using the new e-citation handhelds from Zebra (Symbol) to scan, write, and submit new e-tickets...still in its test phase. If you get hit with that, then god bless your soul. All the overtime guys use Stalker II handhelds (Ka Band)

Pay attention to K band. Especially I/O cause that's where I'll get you. Uniden R7 is the only thing that's catching all of us - but only with well qualified users that know where the bands are falses. I run with an R7 in a scout car just to make sure what I'm xmitting is detected without frequency driftt so if I tag you, there's no doubt later on in court that my business end was in line with what you were clocked at. Not to mention video. I don't leave it on. It's I/O for you, baby!

Of course, there's very few (less than 10% I'd say) that actually run detectors anymore. It's not like the 80's where everyone and their dog had an escort or a passport glued to their dash. It's easy pickin's for most of you guys :)

I don’t know the deal on breaking rules but I’ve always enjoyed and valued a LEO willing to share their practices and enjoyed his post.

Would it be better that he masquerade himself as a friend of a Leo that told him this? Or is it better to just be up front about it?

So either that was useful info or complete misguidance. And then there are those rules.

Frank seems like an honest fellow, and he is obviously passionate about his work and willing to talk about his work.

Like someone else said, would it be better if he had just lied about being not being a LEO?

It is not like our information is private, vlogers like Vortex and Radar Roy have plenty of information out there on You Tube, it is not like LEOs do not watch You Tube lol...

I would keep any LEO of elevated areas but I welcome our LEO friend to General areas of the forums.

We know more about the units they deploy than they do, I don't get this....
EXACTLY!!!

Biohazardous nailed it right on the head. many of us here take the time to test or learn from another members test. I have spoken with a few LEO, some in WVSP and quite honestly, they only know how to run the units. Here, we learn LEO tactics along with the technical aspects of the tools they use.
