Got a couple videos to share. My first and second time being hit with laser after installing my first jammer last month. Running 2 Rx's + 1Tx up front and 2 Rx out back on my '19 Ford Raptor... yeah it kind of has a billboard size front end... On this cross country trip, I was running my R7 (Blendmount) and my wife's 360c (right upper windshield) as well. Also was listening to my Uniden SDS100 scanner (as you'll hear) as it was a boring 26 hour drive...

First video (first time ever hearing the ALP "go off"). Wasn't marked on Waze. 360c was picking up a weak Ka (unrelated from some other cop). I was probably 10-12 over PSL. Hit brakes, engaged cruise, JTK, (before even seeing him) then marked It on Waze.

Second was the next day. Also wasn't marked on Waze. As you can see, everyone in front of me slowed down when they got a visual. I enabled MPH on my Blackvue after yesterday's even above. I saw him, tagged him on Waze, then ALP went off, JTK as quick as I could.

Thanks for all the help here. Especially thanks to @Vortex for all his very well explained videos.

Enjoy!

Hey man, great videos. I don't think that was an unrelated Ka band. I'll bet he left his roving Ka ON while he proceeded to shoot you with lidar out of this right passenger side window. Great job on the JTK, it helps us all!!

The second vid was excellent (Illinois I take it) and is typical for construction zones in IL. They will sit at the beginning or end of zone and tag you since the fines are brutal!! All about the $$,

Curious as to whether any of the RDs went off when hit with lidar? I couldnt hear it. (not that it would help any)....

So the first one (which may or may not have been in Nebraska), neither the R7 or 360c alerted to the laser. I think my reaction time was helped because of the faint Ka that was being picked up on the 360c. The thing that I thought was strange about that encounter is that the 360c alerted and the R7 didn't. Which it's always the other way around. Usually I get a second to 3 seconds earlier alert with the R7.

Yeah that second one may or may not have been in Illinois. lol. I attribute my reaction time on that one to the fact that, well, I saw him, no Ka or K going off, I wasn't speeding (at that moment) so I was anticipating it. A twisted side of me wanted to loop around and give it another shot. Ya know, for science!? lol The R7 also didn't go off on this second encounter (I had the 360c unplugged durring that one).

well if you are running two detectors at the same time, interference can occur, so thats likely why the R7 missed it. it's not a good idea to have both detectors running together.

Thanks for the note. Yup totally understand and knew about that phenomenon. They were a couple feet apart and they both seemed to perform as good as they do alone.

I'd say this is a classic case of interference. Even further, I didn't think that detection from the 360c was very good, if it was from the LEO who tagged you. Barely any ramp up or signal strength spike as you passed him. Probably also due to the interference. Based on stealthiness alone, I imagine those two detectors do not play well together.

Regardless, excellent JTK for your first encounters! I only hope my reactions are that good my first time when I get into the jammer game soon.

Yeah I am pretty sure that the Ka was from a distant officer. It was a fairly busy city. And I trust the R7 and it never went off.

What's funny is that I got laser tagged by a cop last week and he definitely had his Ka on. I was only running the R7 here, which only gave me a second or two of warning and got more intense after I passed him. I posted this in another thread, and maybe you saw it, but here it is again:

Dense foliage like that absolutely plays a role! Especially when the LEO is perpendicular. The first video just confused me because it was wide open terrain, perfect for a radar signal to travel. But if it was indeed a LEO further up ahead, that makes a lot more sense!

Yeah, it was Nebraska - the road sign on the Overpass had "Omaha 52mi." indicated on it !
