This evening I captured some road rage with two cars nearly colliding behind me. The side cam was helpful in capturing the whole thing.

Vortex, I didn’t realize that was you in front of me. Do you guys think I should paint my truck or does it look fine in silver?

Damn, that was nasty. Indeed, nobody wins in road rage. Sometimes it's just better to drive away and leave it be.

I had a guy recently cut me off in a lane kind of like this. I honked at him, as one does, because I'm not about to trade paint. He got out of his car and came up to my window waving a knife at me. Little did he know that I had a dash cam running the whole time and he was driving a company vehicle, with logos and titles and phone numbers plastered all over the back. I may or may not have sent the video to his employer...I got a very nice apology from the manager and a reassurance that it would be dealt with swiftly.

Guy in the car deserved the ass chewing for trying to merge into the truck, laying on the horn, then flipping him off. He was 100% in the wrong. Guy in the truck did the right thing by not stepping out and making it physical.

Yeah it makes me wonder what happened before they got to me that would cause the cat to act that way here.

One huge advantage of having dash cams is it keep you from becoming that A-hole. I'm constantly weighing my behavior behind the wheel with how it will appear to a jury of my peers. Dash cams are indeed a necessary part of good CM culture. They help keep us all a bit more honest.

That was pretty vicious. You don't see that very often in WV, because it's constitutional carry. Therefore, coming up to my driver's window with a knife gets him shot. No if and or buts. That was a direct life threatening event and one would be justified in shooting the knife wielder.

@Vortex If your daughter is with you and one of those idiots happen to have a gun illegally, it's time to leave that location ASAP! You would be justified in doing so. Just something to keep in mind.

It looks like the truck was trying to cut around the Lincoln at the earliest opportunity. Now, maybe the Lincoln was going overly slow and the truck just wanted out from behind the idiot. Maybe the truck driver was just driving aggressively. Either way, there's no reason for the Lincoln to move over like that- at best the driver of that car was being utterly oblivious, but that's hard to believe.
