Haha it's amazing technology, but I still can't stand seeing people doing that.

Honestly, at least he was doing it in the right lane. Screw the Saturn next to you who was keeping pace in the left lane and making it difficult for you to pass. That annoys me way more...

And hey, bass is a glorious thing ;)

Ugh those tools who use the self driving Tesla things are d-bags. Pay attention, and enjoy driving.

You need a real horn to make the driver look up and "realize" he's being a douche canoe.

AutoPilot only allows 5mph over the speed limit. It also forces the driver to nudge the steering wheel every minute or so and it does not recognize stop signs or red lights yet so he has to be paying full attention.

There is no way I would trust a machine with my life like that! Using it while paying attention is one thing, reading a paper is just crazy.

That's what really makes the rest if us angry. How arrogant can you be to read the news paper like that. My mentality is, what gives him the right to put my life at risk?

Hahaha that's awesome - the song is fitting too!

I love when technology makes our life a bit easier.

Do you think they would even realize what you honked for?????
Absolutely not, but at least the moron would get an earful for being a dumbass who isn't paying attention.

Red and blues would probably work better.

I never had much problem with auto-braking, but I knew where cars that steer themselves would end up. This will just get worse. Natural selection is being erased by tech!!!!

That's fine by me, I trust the tech more than I do most of the drivers on the road. At least I don't have to worry about a bunch of teens texting and driving across center yet as they're driving towards me

You may put that kind of trust in tech, I do not!

From my experience with my tesla’s autopilot, you can set the speed to whatever you want up to the limit, which I think is 90.

For standard autopilot mode, which is kind of like a cruse control, where it just follows the current road and is not capable of changing roadways itself or changing lanes automatically, it defaults to the fastest speed you’ve just gone on the current road but it does not restrict you from changing that. When you use the Navigate on Autopilot it will automatically change lanes to find the fastest lane, enter and exit from one road to another following your navigation. I’ve driven from MD to NY with this on and it works for about 75% of the trip. In this situation it automatically selects a speed max of PSL +5 or 10 depending on the type of road. You can again change that freely as you go to anything up to the limit of 90. In this mode it will also recognize stop lights but this feature is very new and limited to a warning if it thinks you will go through a red light.

You do however have to (and should) keep your hands on the wheel more than just every minute or it will quickly start making a fuss and after enough times fussing it will turn off and not let you use it again until after you park the car. It’s pretty amazing how well it works. You just need to understand how it works and what it’s limitations are. At no time should you be reading a paper though. While I do have enough faith in it that’s just too irresponsible.

MFer, at least do the speed limit while you read the goddamn newspaper!!!

I probably need to scale back the bass just a teensy bit...
Wanna really F him up?? Do a quick lane change in front of him and watch his front end drop!! (automatically!!)

This is exactly why it'll be many YEARS before FSD is fully implemented and approved for use in most countries. Add to that the two (2) current FL lawsuits on AP and NOAP and its adding fuel to the fire. Yes, AP is cool and has its uses, BUT FSD really scares me. I did a Turo on a full boat with FSD Model 3 and it still reluctantly sees semi trucks against the white or blue of the sky and constantly asks for driver intervention through haptic feedback to driver and wheel. As I tell everyone, its a work in progress.

Dude, I have drooled over the conductor's specials at hornblasters.com more times than I care to admit.

Easier to drool over it when it is in your vehicle than on a website. ;)
