Been lurking on this form for sometime, finally have a question that I need answered and must refer to the brain trust here. I have personally owned several radar detectors since I first got my drivers license including a fuzz Buster and I believe it was called a fox 40 but it was my first installed radar detector. I’m the generation that had to interpret what alerts my detector was giving. I.e. is it reflecting off of a road sign or bridge or is it something further down the road. I do remember badly wanting a radar jammer that you could purchase the parts and schematics for in the back of a magazine but never followed through.

Welcome aboard. Not sure what side of Central Florida you’re in; I’m in North Orange County, and commute to the Lake Mary area.

Thank you to all the welcomes. Im almost as central as you can get. Im in Bartow and currently make the commute through the parking lot known as I-4 and then 429 for a project in Winter Garden.
Also did some checking and that detector wasn't the Fox 40, I think that was the whistle I used as a floorguard at the skating rink where I grew up. It was in fact the Fox XK. Found it with a google search and a site called the radar detector museum that also had my first detector the FuzzBuster III. After that was a first generation Passport then a second generations Passport then a couple 8500 and 9500. Been without one for a while and because my wife has a 360c and keeps asking me what this is and that I broke down and bought myself one if for no other reason to help her thru her menus over the phone.
