I wish they’d provide more data and context. I was hoping that the data was based on traffic sensor radar traffic measurement data of the 85th percentile; speeds recorded on highways. I’m curious to know what the 85th percentile drive at compared to the posted speed limit on highways and freeways.
Having driven through Washington, Oregon, and California I can safely say that they deploy a lot of officers to enforcement. California is over the top. Soon after crossing the state line I gave up and set my cruise to 5+ over PSL as it was cop after cop.
Thank goodness, they do not yet use traffic data from ID’d cells phones, road systems, and traffic cams with license and facial recognition for good measure. Who needs cops handing out tickets to caught prey in a school of fast drivers?
