Okay, I guess since its happened to me only 1 time 5 yrs ago getting hit in rear with laser on west coast florida.
So ive been holding off buying 2 more tmg for rear(never really needed before)
so on waze i see hidden cop on 95 between midway and okechobee exit in ft. pierce(i drive twice by him tonight) to test
so hes backed in with no k or ka alerts and by himself. was he hitting me from the rear.....really? or was he just shooting ka and i missed it driving by....ty waze just saved me a possible ticket.
so im thinking now of pulling trigger on 2 sensors for rear as this scared the crap out of me....I know they hit you in other states from rear but if he was shooting laser, my r3 was silent.
anyone think this was a rear laser trap or something else? all this time ive been telling peeps they dont hit you in rear....ive only been hit 1 time in rear in fla. 5 yrs ago with my old laser interceptor.
So is this becoming a new tactic. do i need to add the 2 rear sensors in florida? or would you think he was shooting cars going past him maybe i/o ka? (whiuch i got no ka alert) then i made a u turn, headed south to see if i would pick up any scatter now that my laser tmg was facing him. nothing and no radar alert.
he was too far away for me to get any scatter across the median but shi*, are they shooting to the rear in florida now as common practice.? any thoughts. ty

I would get rear sensors. I have only been hit in the rear one time in NC and it would had been an expensive ticket if I hadn't had rear sensors. At some point, you will get it in the rear.

I've only been hit twice (other than testing). Once was from the front by local PD and the other time was from the rear by the MPs. If you can swing it, I would suggest doing it.

Sometimes they are just chilling out, but I have seen a unit shooting rear on SR 710 in the West Palm area, and it has been seen on 95/turnpike down around the ft Lauderdale area this year from an on ramp. One got a ticket as he had no rears, the other had rears and skated by. Also saw a social media picture from a trap a county or two south of jacksonville of a rear trap on 95 with stalker XLR from an overpass. So it does happen, but its not as common as front shots for sure. So ultimately it's a good idea, but it's not going to see as much use as the fronts will around this area.

yeah, im going to see what jag will do for me. im gonna write him tom.
im rdy now. tmg rear set just came today but instead of working here, my installer owes me and said he would take care of me 10am(he opens 11am) and the rear on my car is easy... i can do but i dont wanna hurt my neck so ill let him its only morning plus raining outside.
i have to goto boca after till 3 pm tomorow so im happy because i always felt a lil naked out therewith passing some traps that if they were rear traps targeting me i would have a ticket....now i will be able to confirm these threats i have seen lately....especially a new tactic in the scool z0one i see a schhol officer shooting laser up against the hedge so you can see him till you drive by him and hes aiming at the rear of car...so anyways...tmg time baby

Yeah so it's definitely confirmed Vero Beach on there Northbound 95 entrance there's a cop that she needs laser at traffic going by you won't even see him until it's your passing him. And I counted three Chase cars ahead and he was just sitting there using laser so obviously I went and got some Rears yesterday I installed the so now I'm good to go I just need to get it tested make sure my fronts are pointed forward enough meaning straight enough I think I'm good I just have to test. I also ran into a couple other traps the day yesterday when I got my rears installed I drove to West Palm to Clematis Street and just north of PGA got hit with a stalker rlr although I believe it was scatter because the alert was so brief it was once I didn't even have time to hit the kill switch and it didn't go off more than once neither did my R3 and I was behind a big car so I think I was getting the reflection of the car in front of me still exciting just to know that FHP in the median is using a new type gun

That’s a very common tactic here. Almost more than front shots, especially on ring road freeways/highways that have overpasses.

Parks on the shoulder or the overpass. Sits in the passenger seat with a radio and Lidar gun.

Chase vehicles up the road around a bend where you can’t pick up the disco lights and current customers
