Can anyone identify these?
Nice of them to share the revenue...Camera company RedSpeed USA, based in Illinois, installs and operates the cameras for free. They monitor speed and read license plates of cars going through the school zones. RedSpeed also helps local police departments issue the tickets and shares the revenue with them.
I assume they use laser?Looks like they're from a company called RedSpeed:
Two Gwinnett cities, Duluth and Lilburn, have approved new speed cameras in school zones, and more metro cities are considering the same system. Gwinnett County, Roswell and Lawrenceville have also looked at the technology.www.ajc.com

Yep, the bill passed May of 2018.These are the only Speed Cameras that are legal in Georgia and they can only be used in School Zones. I believe there are no points associated with these tickets, just the fine. But one shouldn't be speeding in a School Zone while children at present anyways.
It's radar based but idk what technology. Hopefully I can find a manual somewhere.I assume they use laser?
It in the articleAnyone know a school using them right now?? I pass by the affected areas frequently and since it's radar based, I'll see if I can get a hold of it's frequency/band
Good to see you’re here!
I actually spoke to a safety advisor for a county (undisclosed here) and they mentioned they're going to be installing cameras outside of school zones once it's tried and tested and the next bill passes. Idk if he was trying to scare the kids in the class or if he was being more serious. There might be some coming to areas in the smaller towns on the south side of Atlanta. School zones only. I’ll post here when I know more.
