I went out with the Corvette Club this weekend and I've capture some of the Radenso Pro-M hit. I would like to apologize for the heavy wind noise, I was driving with the targa roof top off. It was a beautiful day and driving with the top on is a crime. Also the Thinkware F800Pro has horrendous audio. The mic is way too sensitive and there is no option to tweak.

Why idiot of the day? No one had to brake, neither of both cars so no one was cut off.
Also that left lane hog should learn the lesson its illegal to camp in the left lane (BC Traffic code) and he should move over to let faster traffic move.
I do the same.
If any of those vehicle hit the brakes I would be telling another story but this was safe manouver around a real idiot (left lane hog).

The clip doesn't show but the car ahead was already doing 120km/h which is already 20 over the PSL. Camera offers a weird perspective, the truck did cut over 2 cars.

Edit : It's illegal to pass a car from the right.

Beautiful country, thanks for sharing! You're right about Thinkware's microphone. They are fantastic until you add any wind noise.

No its not illegal. I would like you to find BC law that forbids to pass a vehicle on the right on the highway ( 1 rule why its not illegal: its a one way road, 2. slower lane is an unobstructed lane that permits motor vehicles to travel onto, 3. no one had to change speed or direction of travel).
It is however illegal to camp in the left lane in BC.

How did the truck cut over 2 cars if no cars even tap the brakes???
Its no different if you pass a vehicle 10ft away or 50ft or 200ft or even 2000ft away, its all the same until they have to brake in order to avoid collision.

Passing on right
158
(1)The driver of a vehicle must not cause or permit the vehicle to overtake and pass on the right of another vehicle, except

(a)when the vehicle overtaken is making a left turn or its driver has signalled his or her intention to make a left turn,

(b)when on a laned roadway there is one or more than one unobstructed lane on the side of the roadway on which the driver is permitted to drive, or

(c)on a one way street or a highway on which traffic is restricted to one direction of movement, where the roadway is free from obstructions and is of sufficient width for 2 or more lanes of moving vehicles.

(2)Despite subsection (1), a driver of a vehicle must not cause the vehicle to overtake and pass another vehicle on the right

(a)when the movement cannot be made safely, or

(b)by driving the vehicle off the roadway.

So yes, it is illegal.

I see 4 exceptions that allows me and the dude in your video to pass on the right just like in this video.
1b. Its a highway with 2 traffic lanes and 2 unobstructed lanes on the side of the highway.
1c. Same as above.
2a. It was done safely because no other vehicle had to slow down or move over.
2b. No vehicle was driven off the highway.

The issue with dashcam is that its distorted the view. He did not do this safely and the car in front of him was already going 120km/h. There is no reason to cut from the right to cut him back from the left. That is an automatic reckless driving in BC.

I have to agree with @BaileyAB on this one, the guy in the right hand lane didn't have to brake, plenty of clearance, otherwise I think the guy would of drifted over to the right if he was that close (also could be adaptive cruise control come to think of it). I think the guy in the right lane didn't expect him to cut over, had it on cruise and instinctively hit the brakes. Maybe it woke him up a bit.

To be honest, doesn't really matter how fast the guy in front of him was going, could be 120 km/hr or 105 km/hr, if your not passing, move over and let the person behind you go. If people were more considerate of each other the world would be a better place. If I'm in the left lane passing with cruise or anything and I see someone pulling up behind me, I speed up a bit get pass who I need to and move over. Plus without the faster drivers who would be a rabbit?!

Love videos like this were you get the detection and seeing the LEO, very satisfying.
