Over the past month, waze users have not been reporting police, and hazards. Just me. And when I report it, BOOM I get the message "you just helped 8 plus waze users"! Its seems those people are just being lazy and using the app and I've been sending users AHEAD of me bad messages for not reporting a hazard that I now have to deal with THEY PASSED and STAYED SILENT ABOUT.And google maps SUCKS at showing traps and hazards.

Better than half the time there’s no police at the reported location when I arrive there. Sometimes they are on a parallel road with no quick access to the road I’m on or they are busy tending to someone they’ve pulled over. Other times the police are on the other side of the divided highway. Bottom line is you really can’t rely on waze.

I know of several self rightious RD bigots that deliberlty misreport Waze police sighting to f with ppl. My ex-wife being included. She hates to this day that I use a RD and tells me that she makes false reports to "get people to slow down". Yeah, so there's a bunch of ignorant and self rightious soccer mom's out there that feel the need to be a killjoy.

I'm surprised people care enough to do that haha. It would be nice if dropping a pin was a bit easier, especially because of distracted driving laws.

Would be cool to be able just to click a button and you could do voice input to say "Police" and it places it for you. Unless it already does that and I'm behind the times?

I find a lot of W. Az E reports with nothing there but I have had potential saves also. Some people are concerned that sharing your real time position and speed could be monitored by LEO and used to target you.
That worries me as well, can't mark when invisible either. Real bummer.

I can't complain here. There are enough conscientious users who report speed traps regularly. I don't remember how long now I haven't reported, because everything is 100% marked. I even got a real warning recently about animals on the road, never had that one before. It could have happened a mess if I was speeding just before a turn. Thank you, wazers. There have been a couple of false marks, possibly real threats, but then the police might have moved away. I prefer this than nothing. And I can't realize how come they wouldn't realize that everyone of them could be behind and jump right at the paws of the enemy. Do not be selfish!

There's always the option to start an LEO report and not send until you are out of eyesight.
Personally, I like to fully mark them while they see the whites of my eyes. Go chase some real crime...

One gripe I have with Waze is that it barfs if the route is too long/complicated. Waze server timed out and refused to calculate a route from San Diego to Ventura leaving me blind to traffic issues. When I asked Waze about it they said it wasn’t designed for long or complex routes.

I feel it’s fairly active here in Central Pa. Definitely some false reports but on the highways I find they are decently reliable on my route to and from work.

The Heisenberg uncertainty principle states that you cannot know, at the same time, the position and velocity of an object. How about trying to invoke this to fight your next speeding ticket?

Good point. I was a late convert to Waze, and I do appreciate it and employ it, but I never want to rely on it completely. And I certainly never want to lose my skill set of driving strategies, situational awareness, and how to read and use a radar detector correctly. :)

Hardly anyone reports police on Waze where I live, there's more Escort Live reports than Waze, by like 5-10x.

a friend got pulled over by a local leo for looking down at his phone. (Highly doubtful that it would stand) (BTW, he was reporting said leo on vvase!) Let him go, just wanted a chance to yell at him for being distracted.....

I was driving to Philly two weeks ago and some moron was reporting police very few miles. Extremely annoying and a complete lie. It said "wazer" as the user so you can't even leave a comment.
