Is anyone with a V1 seeing Honda BSM at 24.160?

I figured out what accounted for the 24.205 alert that caused me to confuse a Volvo for a CRV.

Yep! When you said CR-V, I couldn't tell in the video that it wasn't a CR-V until you got closer. So many vehicles look alike these days.

Saw a Pilot on the way into the office this afternoon. Got the video this time. Mainly in the 24.16x range, with some short forays in 24.17x and even 24.18x territory.

Here is the summary log page from JBV1. My dashcam timestamp is about 3.5 minutes ahead of my phone time.

I've been reluctant to say anything until I did further testing but it's getting to be too long before I respond.
Brainstorm69s video shows a 24.160 alert from a new Honda Pilot with TMF2 on. :)

It's interesting that Brainstorm69 had to get so close to get the initial alert. It certainly doesn't have to be that close if it's a CR-V at 24.200.
I haven't yet found the perfect test situation and I'd really like to get behind one of these Pilots without a bunch of other cars nearby.

One thing that I've been thinking, but haven't said yet is that I still suspect that TMF2 is doing something substantial about these 24.160 Pilot alerts as my video shows with similar frequencies.

I've been envisioning setting up a camera and placing my JBV1 screen in the field of view and finding a good Pilot on a low traffic road all at the same time. Easy right? I might just have to pay someone with a new Pilot to help me test. :)

I'd really like to see an alert with TMF2 off and then find out how much it changes with TMF2 on, if any.

Although not Honda related, what does JBV1 have to combat Mazda CX-5 falses (the 24.12x kind)? I had a pretty nasty encounter with one on the way home today.

Currently boxes are working for me. I have a out-of-the-box range of 24.120 to 24.130 and I'm muting in all directions. Not ideal as it relates to 24.125 though.
15 minute Snooze helps a lot if you've got that one signal from the Mazda ahead that's going to be there a while. Another 24.12x signal with generate a separate alert anyway.

95% of the Mazda falses I get are when passing one going the other direction and I get a side/rear arrow alert. I requested an orientation option for box mutes and johnboy00 responded immediately as he often does :) These settings work well for me, and are maybe a bit safer than muting everything as it's right in the middle of legit K band range. You can also edit the box mute punch-through setting to your preference.

Unfortunately, that might not have helped much with this one since he was in front of me most of the time.

That's what snooze is for! I believe the default is double-tapping on an alert. A long press will mute everything currently alerting.

So it looks like from your attachment, the box can “not announce” which I guess means it ignores and does not beep or alert? I knew it could mute but it can completely ignore a range? A custom block ?

That refers to voice announcements. You can set custom announcements for each box, ie "34.7 ahead" or "Mazda behind".

If you use the app for all of the alert sounds yes, if you use the V1 for alert sounds then you can only mute K band. You also have the option of keeping the display dark, or only have it light up for non-muted alerts.

IMO blocking out (no alert no nothing) parts of K band is asking for trouble, and sooner or later you'll get burned.

It keeps chirping with the 24.199 +/-.
One signal is displayed instead of 7-10 signals. You make it sound like it does nothing at all for 24.200± BSMs.

Add in JBV1's Honda/Acura filter and it's only as loud as you want it to be.

Had an encounter yesterday with a new Pilot with the correct taillights.

I was driving along and listening to something and suddenly I became aware that I'd been behind this White Honda Pilot for a few minutes at least and the road I'm on doesn't have any intersections for a while. I saw the lights matched the new models and the V1 was quiet.

So I turned off TMF2 and as before I'm baraged with 6-7 signals and I'm seeing 24.160± as well as some 24.178 to 24.185ish stuff.
I started recording my screen but about 30 seconds later the Pilot exited to the right. All I got was the TMF2 off alerts.

In my screen below you can see where I turned off TMF2 and started getting alerts. I really need to find a good way to demonstrate this to all of you!

Your written description is clear enough. It seems TMF2 works.

@BlueV1 - You need a dashcam. And my experience is that TMF2 doesn't work to block these Pilots. Posted above with dashcam footage and JBV1 log. Remember, the LX version of the new Pilots does NOT have Honda BSI. Maybe you were behind one of them. And turning off TMF2 could bring in all sorts of 24.16x alerts from nearby GMs, Chrysler Pacificas, etc.

Relying on what you think you saw is not 100% reliable. There is a good example in my video above Thought I saw a CRV because of 24.20X alert. Subsequent analysis of the video shows (1) not a CRV; and (2) false came from a nearby Acura TLX that I hadn't noticed.
