Check the Dodge Chargers, Jeep Gladiators?
Subaru’s with the eye system?
? In relation to what topic ?

This may not be related to what you are saying;
I've also never gotten a BSM of any type from a Dodge Charger even though I've seen the indicators on the mirrors light up as I pass and the obvious "eye" in the front of some for their adaptive cruise feature.

Can't remember issues with Jeep Gladiators. The Jeep Renegade with the X taillights generates some rear signals.

Nothing I can think of from Subaru at all.

Same here. I have a friend with a Charger that has BSM. I have done some testing and ZERO BSM pollution from it with my R1. The only Chrysler product I pick up BSM from is the occasional Pacifica and even then not that common.

I have got signal off of Jeep with x tail lights like you were talking about too. Also off of a New model Ram truck after switching to 1.50. But, I'm going hold off of an see if it happens again.

New Jeep Cherokee with whatever package of goodies sets off the R7 like a full blown Acura BSM. From a distance and rear after passing too.
The latest BSM hazard in my area, which is heavily into trucks and SUV's.
A couple of other newer Jeep products have given me a BSMing too.

Not sure what I was thinking at the time.

I see Pacificas daily lately, and every on causes an alert around 24.160. Also a few of the newest Jeep models. Never a Charger though.

From: Radar Detectors - Uniden Support

Fixes (v 1.50 – 07/24/2019)

  • K block feature to improve BSM detection. Notch filter for 24.194 – 24.205GHz.
  • When Speed camera(or Redlight) and radar alert are being detected at the same time, radar alert is displayed after speed(or redlight) camera alert – this is a bug fix current R3 skips “radar alert” when detecting speed(or redlight camera) and radar alerts simultaneously.
Oh SNAP, going to get the r3 now and update....how is this different if using the k narrow on the r3? ty

K-Block is a notch filter for 24.194-24.204. So it covers 6 MHz below the top of K narrow, but can also allow you to run K-wide, have coverage above 24.204 and avoid Hondas and Acuras (except the newest ones that spew 24.16x).

So, i just successfully downloaded the new 1.50 firm!!! awesome... i see k block is set on.... can you help me figure out if i should still run k narrow(ive never run into a k band outside k narrow range here but i have been told by bravo that theres a sherriff in martin county where i need k wide(not too worried)
but now with this k block(im a little confused still) running it on, does this mean i can run k wide instead of k narrow because of this update with k block? Just trying to make it as quiet as it is running k narrow before today. any help, ty.

If there's k-band in your area, K-narrow can cut out a lot of legitimate alerts. I suggest K-wide.

If you run K wide with KF on, TSF on, and K Block on, it should be quieter than it was before just because you are cutting out Hondas and Acuras in the 24.201-24.204 range.

If you were happy running K narrow before, why change? K Block will just reduce that few more falses.
If however research by others show K Wide is required in your area, then consider switching to wide and try it out.
Set filters like Brainstorm suggests.

Move away from it (i.e., pass the infernal thing) or use mute.

You forgot the purple. But seriously, if you are somehow stuck behind one, then either switch to highway mode and hit mute, or switch to city mode and get a little further away. Sometime I just don't understnd people who say they get stuck behind some BSM emitter for miles. If it is so packed you can't get away, why do you even need your detector in those conditions. Turn it off. You aren't going to get a ticket if all you are doing is the speed of other traffic.

Uhhhh, perhaps me on someone's six, trying to pull off a motorcycle pass on a twisty secondary highway.
Can't get by easy, can't take hands off handlebars easy, RD under a plastic bag in the rain.
But hey, at least the odd squawking let's me know the RD is still working and plugged into my helmet.
Best bet is to use that motorbike acceleration at first opportunity to dust the BSM polluter.

Really tough to get away from a BSM polluter on a two lane twisty mountain road. We can all be going 10-15 over but there's only two lanes and the semis are in the right lane going 5 under. I have had to deal with one for 20 minutes or so in the past. No exits, no passing, no point in holding others up behind me.
