This is your last chance regarding warnings and brand warfare...
I've had an R1 for two years and it has been fantastic. I was interested in better BSM filtering for around town, with arrows and bluetooth connectivity, so I decided to try the DualPro 360. I'll write a quick review in the brief time I've owned it.

Pros:
Excellent BSM filtering, almost never falses
Decent range, had a quarter mile alert on a hidden 90 degree Ka band which was enough time to slow down
Bluetooth connection for easy software changes
EL offers shared alerts

Cons:
Massive detector
Sticky cup takes up too much windshield real estate
It was falsing to 33.6 rear which means poor QC on manufacturing
After updating the detector it would no longer pair to my iPhone
If other people aren't using EL around you then it's useless

Overall, it gave decent range but not as good as the R1. If the software had actually worked and the rear antenna wasnt falsing, it would have been a great detector. I really like the auto No X feature which changes sensitivity based on speed. I miss the old fashioned mount, which I custom made for this detector since the sticky cup is way too big. If they could actually get it together and make a working product then it would be a fantastic detector. Reminds me of my Redline which would rarely ever connect correctly to Detector Tools. Anyways this detector is going back.

A lot of people like escort products. You’re talking about a cobra

There’s a cobra forum Cobra
I know how forums work. I chose to post this in the Escort forum as they are the parent company and responsible for the product. Go ahead and move it if you’d like.

I already noted the same symptoms with the one I had and sent it back to Amazon.

Cobra is owned by Escort. It’s the same app and same detector as the Max 360.
it’s kinda like saying Fender makes garbage because my Squire guitar is a piece of junk. Squire is under the parent company Fender but the quality between the 2 are not the same, not even close. The cobra 360 is more like the beltronics 360 in my opinion. Not arguing with ya, have a good one.

With the difference being that a good portion of Squier's lineup nowadays is actually pretty killer. That whole Classic Vibe series is a massive bargain. Better than the Mexi Fenders I've played lately...

Oops....just went full guitar nerd...

Same goes for epiphone and Gibson. The cobra 360 is expensive so hopefully they will get it working better- firmware update

Good day benz598!! When I bought my Max360 in Aug/2017 ....one month later in Sept. I noticed the K band lockup & screen freeze. I have been an Escort fan since my 1st Passport (metal construction w/orange toggle switch & red LED's for signal strength of K & X bands only!! ;) ). When Escort was in denial of any such issues I searched the web & found RD Forum & members here already knew of the problem. So I sold my Max 360 to a local pawn store @ a loss & May 2018 purchased Radenso XP & Dec. Uniden R1 (now the R1 is my trusty standby!) My Cobra DP 360 is issue free after 30 days of daily use. I refuse to connect to EL or Cobras version due to past issues w/M 360 & will not update since sometimes cell phones & RD's can get alittle squirrley when reprogrammed! I agree w/you about Q/control & hope you keep the faith & find the RD that meets your needs.Took me 2 years & much patience....plus this forum...to admit I found my #1 CM tool is a Cobra!!! :happyanim:

As I stated in your warning,

If you are going to call out a manufacturer then use the proper immediate company - we know exactly what you were trying to insinuate by doing this with the title...
I edited your title and that's all I am going to say about this - please do not appeal this warning in this thread or via PM or other means, it is a warning. It is the last one I will give regarding this subject.

Im inclined to agree with Benz, If i take over a company that i was competing against im going to transfer my "standard of quality" to my manufacturer of both products. especially if they are sharing the same technology. If i recall some features and menu items are different between the escort and cobra. Since they share the same platform its safe to bash one and included the other. Similar to ford and their alternate brand mercury. same platform a few trim differences

No it's not actually safe to BASH either.

That's not the point.

If you want to discuss this, bring it up in a relevant area (elevated section), but please stop discussing this in this thread.

Volkswagen owns Porsche, but the idea that every VW should be a Porsche is laughable. Different price point, different customer base, different expectations.

Excellent comparison one of my buddies works in the tech development at Porsche America (atlanta is their headquarters now)

My Porsche shares alot of sensors with VW / Audi / BMW and that was 25 years before the merger.
Engineers share alot of the tech development between the two companies now with the merger. What is laughable is to think that 2 name brands under the same umbrella would spend the revenue on 2 parallel tech developments and keep it out of one brand and not the other . It all comes out of the same bucket and they all work together much like if it was 1 company.

*Just like Escort has with cobra to make the 360. Right? Cobra didnt just come up with their own 360.

The fact that escort just tweaked some things on the cobra version of the 360 is completely applicable to this conversation.

Kansas running with the pack
judging by the title, i can't tell if this is a. or a ?

My experience with the new Cobrapro360 is that it's just as good as the max360c performance wise and filtering wise.

The road scout needs some attention, the 9200bt was a decent detector, but before that, I would say the . would be correct.

Have you used other detectors? the reason i ask is if you think the cobrapro is " huge" you would think the max360, max360c, and the redline ex are really HUGE!!!! but yes, compared to the r1, it is wider.

The false alerts from the rear, that might be something a FW can fix, just like any new product, it has bugs. I can't think of any detector that has come out that hasn't had some kind of bugs, or issues that needed improved.

Anyway, my two cents, hope you find a detector that more fits your needs.

LOL, I own both, the Escort 360 and a Porsche. They both entertain me equally well.
