Edit: Sorry for above post. I read the article and they attribute speed to increased accidents which is not true. They think they're so smart yet can't look at any modern studies and still can't aim their mirrors properly so they can check their blind spots...

Promises, promises... Every time they announce programs like this, I see LESS enforcement in the areas that should be covered.
No fun at all... :(

For what's it's worth, Operation Southern Shield doesn't include Arkansas but I have seen a NHTSA grant that went active for this same week here. I can tell you that LEOs were as thick as flies on dog shit yesterday along I-30. I suspect there are many more states running speed campaigns this week. Be safe, eyes open!

LSP (and locals) should be lighter next week as they were all on duty this weekend for the storm. Gotta keep that overtime down...

Silly :police3: , speed doesn't kill, rapid changes in velocity do.
I thought it was the sudden stop!? :police:

PS: Drove a bit over 100 miles today from NW GA to a bit above Atlanta on 75 then back and not a single cop...

Yea, I bumped into Calhoun PD once but I used to go up to the mountains and it's empty. The engine roar and nature's views... Bliss...

Still need something. I've done the same haul on weekends and there could be nothing for weeks on the bike then suddenly a KA or K out of nowhere while going a smidgen fast! :giggity:
