Clue's in the name
Same goes for orbital EMP strike within any LEO in your path the strike happens 1min before you reach the detect zone so it doesnt affect you.
I've already got mine on backorder.

I agree with @Deadhead1971 , my requests for the "new V1" are very simple. Match my R1's on off axis and range and give me a frequency meter on the display. Ka frequency voice would be a nice touch also.

If the next model has a little more range, that's fine, but I've never had an issue with range on the current model. I'd just like improved BSM filtering and a new display. A while back, I asked for laser pulse rate via the API (would require at least a firmware change, too, I'm sure), but I'm not holding my breath for that one. I'd also like to be able to cancel K muting, via API, before the timer is up.

How about a full mute to 0% per desired signal? That would be a nice change to the API.

Don't people like the V1 because it is 'raw' and unfiltered though?
Up to a point! Years ago, that's what made the Redline-O and V1 great back in the day and killers! Now the only way I can run either one of them is with X and K bands turned off! My V1 is an older version before the apps. If you are lucky enough to live in an area were you can run them like that, they will still be at the top of the list!

The ability to get all signals and process them in the apps without interference might be the idea behind the "raw" concept.
I still use both the K muting and TMF2 features that are built in. I would not want to be running K-band without those built-in features!

Honestly I would buy a V1 if it was this version:

I also REALLY want better detection for MRCD and Poliscan. Rumors of a new display have me giddy.
How does redflex fit in?

Personally, the V1 is fine the way it is. I cannot think of any improvements it needs.

Same concept. The problem here in MD is, most of them are shooting LIDAR and not radar.

That would be a instant hit, but I don't see that being realistic. My non fantasy land dreams wants an all new front section that's all OLED or LED. Not just a small screen that shows arrows.

I think the new york post is trash so I just choose not to read it :)

I'm no expert but to give up 4 months of revenue for a face lift is what VR has done, then this company should team up with Sears.....
Going to be honest, we don't even know if this delay in production even means anything. We could very well see the same ol' V1 after this is all said and done.

Still no numerical display...I'm out
You wouldn't upgrade if an update included better detection? A numerical display would be nice, but I don't think it should be the deciding factor.

Asking what you’d like to see is pointless. If it’s the patents then it will be the patents, plus the new display. There won’t be GPs hence no lockouts. Mike V has always beaten his own drum.

I'd be shocked if he rolled out the same unit 4 months later. He could have flown to china and had any part he wished made for him and taken home thousands in a suitcase within a week :) I would think new website or revamped one at the least along with a well upgraded detector is on the way. Could be wrong but OCD people do not run out of parts to build the product that pays the bills.... JMHO

I'm not an expert, but parts from China right now might not be feasible. :) Suitcase or otherwise.

I think he’s set for the rest of his life though. I don’t know if he needs to produce another V1 ever. Mike is old, isn’t he?

I have dealt with Mike and his wife for 20+ years and I agree he's set for life and at retirement age but I have a hunch he will not go away quietly :) It must kill a guy like him to see escort and uniden making bank off his no longer patented arrows and bogey counter. If gps did not come with a royalty for using another persons patent then I believe Mike would inc in his detectors....

Neah I don't think he will go away that quietly I mean if he is as stubborn as he seems than he would at least make an announcement and a going away thing...not just stop work.
