Good morning @johnboy00 . I have two ideas I would like to run past you.

1) The option for "reverse auto-themes", at least for the overlay. Say, using "night mode" during the day and "day mode" during the night.

The reason I'm asking is because I usually use JBV1 with "auto-themes" on in overlay mode with VVaze, and I find that sometimes the overlay bars will "blend into" the VVaze theme. If I turn off auto-theme, then the dark bars will blend into the background during the night when VVaze is in dark mode.

So, essentially I'm asking for the ability to have "reverse auto-themes" for the overlay bars to provide contrast.

2) More verbose CSA voice announcements.

So, right now, when a CSA alert pops up, JBV1 will rattle off "Police reported on (road), X minutes ago." That's almost all the information I need without taking my eyes off the road to look at the screen.

The only thing missing from the voice announcement is the number of "thumbs up", if any. I can glance at the screen to see if the bar is red, but that still doesn't tell me how many thumbs up it is unless I squint at the screen (darn my bad eyes!).

Is there anyway we can add that to the voice announcements as an option? For example: "Police reported on (road), X minutes ago, Y hits"?

Thanks in advance, and thanks for all that you do for us.

#2 certainly makes sense. I'll just add thumbs up to the standard announcement.

Regarding #1, a day-themed overlay might be like a beacon of light at night on an otherwise dark screen, but I'll test it out and see what I think.

@johnboy00, while you are working on auto theme stuff, any chance of disabling / locking that button that lets you change themes?
I run dark mode 100% of the time.
If it's easy, I'd like to see that ability. Maybe set it to what you want and then "lock" it down in settings or something.
:)

You mean protect you from yourself? Or maybe I don't understand.

Yeah. It's a button that I personally don't use at all but rather than suggesting anything that would remove it from the screen and change the layout that you worked hard to get where you want it, it might be nice to disable it's effects.
Only if it's easy though. I can just avoid the button. :)

You mean the map style button?

Yes. That's the one. :)
I'll bet LeftLaneinPA and I are talking about two different aspects of what looks like a similar feature. (Programming wise.) If it's not in the same section of code, or difficult to do, I withdraw my request. :)

Yeah, the map style button itself has nothing to do with auto theme functionality, so I was a little confused. I'll find a bone to throw you. :)
