Bought off Amazon a week ago, updated the defender database and drove across California, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, Nebraska and finally Kansas until I got a ka hit. I had new detector syndrome so there wasn't a cop anywhere,. Anyways I have been getting alot of falsing from the rear antenna even when nothing is around so I had to segment it out for now but it would go off on 33.580 constantly, even when on the car floor, I believe I have a defective unit,. It's been very quiet though and very few bsms get through and sometimes I think it's locked up when it's just filtering out stuff. Range seems to be about 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile, I haven't had a chance to find a good k/a source on flat ground yet but this one's going back.

Well that's a bummer. Are you going to get another one to replace it?

Cobra falsing itself? J/k

Thanks for the update. My GT-360 seems to work well, but I haven’t seen it since my father took it!

Is that the same false as we were getting from the magnetic mounts on the Redline Ex's?

33.580 mostly, it's already on the mount while doing it.

I have a very good result on my Dual Pro 360 that always set to "AutoNoX" last 4th of July going to NY & yesterday going back here to OH...it's really save me a ticket! This toy give me a KA warning at around 3-4 miles until I reach the police hiding! :roflolmao:
Take Note that sometimes police are not hitting their speed detector all the time they do it every 30 second to 1 minute.

The funny thing is all cars who's in front of me are slowing down when I'm coming and leave them behind my back because they think that my SUV is a police car. I drive 2019 Ford Explorer Sport in black color because this color of SUV looks like a police car but when they see me that I'm not a police they follow me as a leader. :roflolmao: Anyway, the problem I have encountered is the "Air Patrol" have a lot of false call in some area so I need to take it OFF. Imagine behind the overpass there's an "Air Patrol" marked? Maybe someone in the community of Cobra/Escort marked it.
but anyway I have a police (it's my wife!) speed watcher besides me, so, I can't hit more than 90mph. :p

What I have found over time with the Escort Live app, the air enforcement is a database like red light cams. Not actually real time report. So, I turn that off the “radar setting” area I think, to kill it on the database built in on the RD. Plus kill it on the app display too. I will turn it on coming into a new state to see where they have the traps, if any.

I may be wrong on this. So far, seems how it works for ER Live. I would think Cobra app acts the same? Check it out and let me know.

Truth be told, I went from an R3 to an R7 to get arrows and, well, am not addicted to arrows.
It's weird, I went to order one during the 499 sale and my bank rejected it, even though I had more than enough to get it, it was fate telling me no.

No offense to anyone with an R7, I’m just not there yet. I’m concerned about the overactive rear antenna I’ve been reading about. Rear mute or rear sensitivity adjustments would be cool. I would probably run the rear antenna in K City Mode if that was / is possible. The post over in the testing section about the rubber inserts is amusing and interesting but I hope that’s not a long-term solution.

So is there any real test data on this detector?

Kansas running with the pack
Do you by any chance know what software version this is running? Any reports of lockups? Thanks!
no lockups to date. I'm not aware of of updates since I received mine from escort to test. It's really quite, almost to quiet if there is such a thing. I think I posted some videos of the testing somewhere
