Kinda seemed like he didn't have it on then Turned it on as it was not really a ramp... Perhaps I/O. It's always a mix. I have everything from half a mile to 8 miles from the same unit... Lots of things can affect it... If you even want to see max range I have an 8 mile straight flat road near my office where I have gotten 8 mile alerts on the R1. We can always test it if you are down this way :)

That looks like I/O, but as Bravo said not a bad idea to test it out to see for sure.

Fixed. Not sure if this would consider as good range.
Don't think it was I/O. Range didn't seem bad to me as you had several overpasses in the way and an incline to see over.

8 miles? That's insane lol. Whenever you're free next time, we can do some testing with both laser and radar.

Nice video. The gf said you all got some rain there today
Pretty much everyday this time of the year, and almost at exactly 5 o'clock on the dot.

What non-Floridians will find different is that the rain here can be very localized. You can be driving in sun and see rain a few hundred yards ahead, drive into a torrential downpour and then drive out of it into sunlight in 5 minutes. It can rain on 1 side of the street and not the other. Most rain is brief so you can just wait it out.

That's not just a Florida thing....that happens here in SC alot! I drive in and out of thunderstorms alot around these parts on the way home.

That seems like great range to me, considering the elevation change, and bends. I'm loving the bogey tones, but I'd prefer a V1 style counter vs the all threat display on my R7.
