Does one of the forums have information on how to mark a false alarm in a Genevo ONE M radar detector?

I've been advised that false alarms can be marked by pressing the middle button. I pressed the button the middle false alarm in case of a false alarm but not removed at this point. How do I press this button to make this happen?

I found this in the user manual in section "Control", item number 2.

The manual is attached here.

2) Middle button BRIGHTNESS / ALERT SUPPRESSION

Short press: You can change the brightness of the display - Bright -> Dim -> Smart Dark -> Full Dark.

Long Press: If you hold it during an alert you will mark the place of false radar reporting so at a given point detector during the next passage will be suppressed. If you suppress a false alert, detector will not detect radars in radius of about 150 meters. Hold button during the "suppressed" radar alert and this listing will be canceled. After next passage radar alert will be signaled acoustically.

If the Genevo works the same as the Pro M (which would be logical), you need to perform a "long press" (not a "short" press) on the middle button to lock out the false alarm. Or are you asking something else?

I have read it many times.

You know I don't know English very well and it causes confusion.

Alright. So I have to press the middle button for a long time with the lock image.

For a longer time. It's really not that long, but it is more than just a quick press and let go. Try holding for a second or two.

Then there's one more thing.

My Genevo ONE M always goes to the User area mode.

Is there any action on how this can be removed so that the device does not enter User area mode?

Genevo ONE M always tells me in English that the user area is exactly the same place.

Will the device speak something to me with the voice after the wrong alarm has been successfully tagged?

I would try a long press of the "C" button when you get to that spot. It appears the detector thinks you marked the spot as a point of interest or a road hazard. A long press of the "C" button should unmark the spot.

Did I understand that I have to press the C button in this same place?

Yes, I believe so (and it also needs to be a long press). I would do that first and then try locking out the alert after that.

I need to get this User area off of this point.

In addition, I have to successfully sign the wrong alert.

These instructions helped me. I'll these instructions tomorrow to get these two things done.

You're welcome! :)
I got deleted from the User area area and my Genevo ONE M won't go into the User area mode any more at this point! :)

But I still have not been able to mark false alarms. I pressed the center button as you're instructed, but I have not managed to subscribe for false alarms. Genevo ONE M still warns me of Ka band in every yard of trade.

Glad you were able to remove the User Mark. I don't know why the False Alert Suppression function isn't working. I looked up the Genevo One M manual, and it says to long press the middle button to suppress a false alert (see paragraph 2) below).

I've done just that, but for some reason, false alarms may not be labeled. The detector has told me False alert deleted.

Whenever I go to the same place then I get the wrong ka band alarm.

I don't know what I should do.

Are you trying to lock out a Ka signal? My Pro M will not lockout a Ka signal.

Press and hold middle button until detector makes sound announcing it is locking out signal. (about 2 seconds)
Also, does lockout work on KA? Can it be adjusted in the menu to lockout Ka?
Does detector have a Ka filter to turn on to reduce false alarms?
Just some things to look into....

Here is a short video I just made showing the Pro M's lockout function for K-band and also how it will not lockout Ka.

This is a good video. But unfortunately I do not understand what you are telling me about it :( I have a bad command of English and I have to use a lot of google translators.

I would appreciate if you can tell me what you said on the video so I can use a google translator.

I'm sorry when part of the ill-English :(

I am Finnish and I will be only the Finnish language good.
