Nice find! Maybe @UnidenSupport can help us out with informing us of what changes were made.

There is nothing new.. The 1.12 was the last production version and everyone should already have it unless they had an early DFR7. The website just was never updated to reflect the newest version.

This is correct. I am happy we have the 1.12 up there because it was a common point of confusion (understandably so) 1.12 and 1.10 are functionally identical and the only reason it's there is due to requirements for us to update firmware numbers with changes even if the changes do not affect functionality.

I am not sure what if anything I'm doing wrong, but when I connect my DFR7 to either my desktop or laptop with the usb cable, nothing happens. I have tried multiple USB cables, and nothing changes. Is the device supposed to power on when the USB cable is connected to the USB port, considering that the power cord plugs into a telephone style connection on the detector for power?

No, the device doesn't power on when connected via USB. You need to go to the uniden website and get the software for it. The software will allow you to see what firmware is on it, and to update it (if it is old), also there is software for updating the Camera database..... but all through both processes the device never lights up as powered on.

Idk if this has been mentioned or if this is the right place, but the latest R3 db update includes a separate database file that works on dfr7 (databases files for these radars are identical and Uniden used to provide the same file for both radars) that updates the dfr7 database to 20190704. Database tested and verified on my end.

Cheers!

The R3 Db update worked fine on My DFR7!
Thanks
Doc
Yes R3 and DFR7 use the same DB format. There is zero risk to flashing that file on DFR7. Uniden used to provide the same DB file for both radars on their website, but they started baking the DB in the firmware file of R3 beginning January. This is actually the first update package that contains a separate DB file so we could flash it on our radars.
BTW I'm sorry I did not provide a more detail instructions for how to flash it and you had to get it in another thread. I just assumed everyone here is familiar with the Uniden Support page. My bad! :(

Hey jonup!
No worries, all good here and Thanks much for the info.
As You can probably tell by My posts, I'm really just getting back into CM's etc...
Last RD was My trusty V995 and I've been doing My best to get caught up to the current state of things re: The CM World.
Again, Thanks for the information!
