It should send to media stream when force speaker and auto stream selection are disabled. Are your alert and auto mute volume controls having no effect, too?
I think they are working since the alerts are always the same volume no matter if I had to turn up the volume on a phone call or not.

It's just the deet deet of the bogey lock tone that's super loud because it's going to call volume so it's getting cranked up really loud. I have it set to 30% under K and Ka under audio settings but it doesn't change it.

I turned media stream and force speaker off while it wasn't connected then after I left work I made a call and bogey lock tone still got really loud after I hung up.

Try changing the alert volume(s) and see if it actually changes the volume.

I have it setup so the V1 makes K and Ka alert noises and Jbv1 makes bogey lock tones.

That would be why the volumes don't change. Sorry, I forgot that's how it was setup when I responded earlier.

Ok, but if you're willing, would you temporarily enable the app alert sounds to see if their volume controls aren't working for you either?

Sure but I don't have a easy way to test other than just driving. I don't have a radar source I can use at home. No speed signs or anything either.

OK just did some testing. The volumes will go down in demo mode if I adjust the % under audio settings but I'm not sure it's adjusting them correctly. Here is what I did. Under audio handling I set demo volume to 90% then I set the tones under K, Ka and bogey to 50% (that should be 45%) it was still quite loud. I then set K, Ka and bogey to 10% (which should only be 9% total volume) and it was definitely quieter but not what I would think 9% would be. If I play a video at 9% I can't even really tell its playing but every noise Jbv1 made was still plenty loud.

Does Jbv1 boost the volume more than other apps?

Other than setting the stream volumes at startup to whatever you have selected for initial stream volumes, JBV1 doesn't boost volume at all. The volumes for bogey lock tones, alerts, and auto muting are controlled by applying the selected volume to the content player (SoundPool, in this case), which is supposed to play content at the specified volume (0-100%) relative to the current stream volume. It works pretty well on my phones, but you shouldn't have the expectation that 20% is twice as loud as 10%, and 80% is eight times as loud, because that certainly isn't the case. There could also be some variations among device implementations in how content player volume affects actual volume.

I'll do some testing with single-digit volume percentages and see if it warrants adding those to the selections. Or maybe I'll change the actual values for the lower percentages so they have an effect that better meets expectations (e.g. 10% selected = 2% actual).
Post automatically merged:
The next update will include additional volume settings < 10%..

@johnboy00 Small Bug I can replicate. When I leave my phone in my car and it kind of stays connected to the dongle while the car keeps power on inside until I lock doors. Once I come back to the car and the V1 starts back up, I lose the alert map, I see the weather screen. I can't seem to find an icon to show the alert map again. I have to power cycle the car, V1, JBV1 and then alert map overlay shows again. I hope I am describing this to make sense.

Almost like if JBV1 stays on and the V1 power cycles, I lose Alert map. The car is also power cycled while JBV1 is on. I have had this happen enough times that I found the pattern. Not a biggy, just more of an FYI (and maybe asking for an icon on the weather map to re-show Alert map?)

I don't think I'll have time to try to track that one down prior to a release I have ready for this afternoon. It would help if you could be more clear on the sequence of events. For instance, I'm not sure what "kind of stays connected to the dongle" really means. Does the dongle ever lose power? It's always better to have the dongle and V1 power on/off at the same time.

I'll investigate when I have more time, and thanks for the report!

The Dongle and V1 are one the same wire. My car provides power to everything for a time after I turn the car off until I open a door, so after I turn the car off, V1/Dongle are still on. When it reconnects to the V1, I am losing the Alert Map and it only shows the Weather Radar. This only happens when I've been disconnected from the V1 only a few minutes and I believe JBV1 is staying on. I just notice it more when I leave my phone in the car as those are times I am only gone a few minutes (This morning was just in the post office).

Next time it happens I will try to record each sequence of events better. And another release? WOW!!!

If JBV1 continues to run for several minutes after the dongle is powered off, you must have a wonky GPS signal that's showing speed above a few MPH at rest, because that's the only reason JBV1 will try to re-establish a connection (for several minutes) instead of closing. You might try disabling data timeout recovery in connection settings.
