Kiddin’ or truth? This out of stock discussion has taken several turns that it’s hard to distinguish between fact and fiction and joking. I know the end of your post was joking from the tone (September). But the new face plate- ?I called Valentine again and the woman, who was different this time, sounded very young, confirmed new components and new face plate. Said they're really hoping for August. Wait, I mean September, no no it was definitely October.
At this point radar is not on their radar. They took my order over a week ago and was told in the $400 area for new unit and they would get with me to confirm price prior to charging my card. Never did ask when or what the new V1 would have under the hood as we will not know till they are good and ready to tell us.E-mail might not be on their "radar"...
They didn’t say it would cost any more than what was already listed on the site. Yes they told me this today. I am ordering.I didn't think they were taking any orders, yet - they told you they would take your order for a new one, but won't charge you until it ships?
How much did they say it would cost?
Not joking. I spoke about this in a thread I created a while ago. New faceplate and internals.Kiddin’ or truth? I emailed them and asked point blank a few weeks ago about a new face and got no response.
Exactly! That's the big difference between my V1 and my Redline and R1's as well! Out on our long range straight course my 3.872 can nip at the heels of my R1 and Redline-O, even at 4 miles! As soon as the least bit of off axis comes into play however, my V1's range drops like a rock. From the rear however, my V1 murders them both.W
No! The V1 has terrible off-axis compared to a R3 or my original Redline.
Apparently, in addition to employing personnel with a deficit understanding of customer relation skills, there may be a Production Buyer with an imperfect understanding of Six Sigma processes. It is looking more like that said Production Buyer missed the segment on lead-times. On that note: Only 8 shopping days until August. /sI don’t think Valentine is dead (yet), for what it’s worth.
However, it’s the fact that he is set for life that allows him to specifically stand by and do nothing. It just doesn’t matter what happens to the V1 from a financial perspective for him.
