As the title says, my alert map is constantly disappearing and reappearing, every few minutes or so. Sometimes it never comes back. Happening with 1.5.9 and 1.5.10.

It seems all CSA alerts (including map) have been doing this for the past few weeks.

Yeah, and experienced the same thing and have noticed my GPS is going ape shit at the same time. A phone reboot has resolved the problem each time for me.

If you want to always see the alert map, you should have Persistent enabled and Auto Show/Hide disabled. Both are in Display > Alert Map settings.

X2, it seems to me that it's related to GPS signal strength but that could just be me.

Could it be the fused location provider? It caused a minor issue with speed readout for me.

I'm probably gonna ditch that option, because it seems to cause more problems than it solves.

I will try disabling that and see what happens.

So except for the first drive after disabling FLP, the map has been staying put until today. On my way home today the map disappeared, but so far it's been much better.

You have Persistent enabled and Auto Show/Hide disabled?

When the alert map disappears, does the floating alert map icon appear, and do the full-screen map controls remain on the screen?

@Hahns52 My best guess is that your phone is running very low on memory at times. JBV1 has low memory callbacks that are called by Android when the system is running very low on memory. To avoid a crash or forced closure by Android, JBV1 will shutdown the alert map because it uses a lot of memory.

That sounds very possible. Thanks.
