And I do mean BRAND NEW, in the packaging, or at least it was 2 hours ago.

Hardwired (no kill switch yet), off the windshield. X is off, K is off. I haven't owned an Escort for 15 years so I am curious to see how this performs.

Only because I didn't see it mentioned, make sure you disable Ka, enable Ka2,5,6,8 (or whatever bands for your area), and disable RDR to unleash the Redline's full potential.

I will have to mess with it on my break, need to head out. Let's see how it does on the highway if there are any traps.

Special thanks goes out to sdrawkcaB :)

All in all, my Redline-O is still my favorite detector! It has my favorite ramp and Ka alert tone. It also can go toe to toe with both of my R1's! K band falses suck so I just said to hell with it and run it with K band off! I'm pretty sure you won't see any 33.8 in the Raleigh area. I run 5-6-8 in all of NC. The only reason I run seg 6 is just in case the Stalkers start to drift. So far they have not. I've been running mine for almost 10 years, so if you have any questions call me, you have my number. Once you turn RDR off and get it segged. it becomes a MONSTER!

Just arrived at work and..............BOOM, Stalker.....34.69 before the exit (I am running Spec display), I will upload the video later.

He was running constant on in the opposite direction over a hill. I like the audio tones. Wish there was a concealed/remote display for this like V1.

But by turning RDR off, I will not filter any annoying WalMart wanna be speeders with their Cobras........

Be aware as I passed through Forest City, NC today, I encountered this unmarked black Charger running 33.8.
We both were traveling 80± towards each other.

Say it ain't so! Dammit! That's good info to have, although it sucks! Are you sure it wasn't a cobra? I've never had even one legit 33.8 alert in NC. But I do spend 90% of my time in eastern NC.

By segging your Redline you will not have to worry about false Ka alerts.

Maybe I should learn the device a little better before I Segment? I don't want to get smoked by segmenting out the wrong band.....LOL

Just run 2-5-6-8 and you'll be fine! 2=33.8, 5=34.7. 6 is for a high drifting Stalker just in case, and 8 is for 35.5. I've been running just 5-8 forever with no problems, but I am on the hard core side!

The RedLine was the very first detector I purchased years back. It's reputation is well earned. It was King of The Hill for quite some time. I still like to use my other one I have on occasion. It's off-axis 35.5 detection is really impressive -- constantly out performing my Uniden R3 in my own experiences. I'm still deciding if it's out performing my R7 with off-axis 35.5.

I recall a K Band save I had from an unmarked unit running a Raptor RP-1 back in 2014. The RedLine was alerting to K Band which I was not used to in this area, and I almost passed this unmarked dark green charger with tinted windows. The RedLine was alerting and I was trying to decide if it was an intersection controller false or not -- and right as I was about to overtake this unmarked vehicle (before I knew what it was), I looked over and saw him looking at me, and then I saw this black square device on his dash, and I slowed down and backed off. I was unfamiliar with radar antennas at the time, and didn't even know what "Low Powered K Band" was, or even know of RDForum. The RedLine did not let me down.

I agree 100%! Once you seg and turn of RDR I don't think the Redline has an equal on 35.5. On 34.7 I'll give the nod to my R1's, but just by a breath! My Redline has saved my @ss more times over the last several years than I can count! It now is on "Ghetto Arrows" duty in the back glass of my 99 Mustang I drive to work every day while my R1 holds it down from the front! They make one hell of a tag team, I'll tell you that!

See! I'm not the only person that feels this way. I love my Redline-O. When I bought my R7, I gave my R3 to my cousin, I will always keep my RL-O!

What software generated that map?
Looks like one of the V1 programs.

what about low drifting stalker?... I run mine 2014 redline 2,4,5,6,8, on rdr off, tsr on,( i hate k band) but this dam detector is so good ka band sweeps especially off axis.
I have better chance of getting hit with laser than k band( in my area)
sometimes k band off(unless going through towns, off highway, fhp, etc)

I've never encountered a low drifting Stalker, or a high drifting one for that matter! All the 34.7 in NC that I face is pretty much dead on. I keep hearing all of the horror stories from NY, so that's why I run Seg. 6.

I think @oldcelt has seen one in his recent past?
