I got one 33.8 CO a few hundred feet before an overpass, (think + intersection). Basically started at the end of the offramp, held, then faded before the onramp ended, LEO+customer sitting right at onramp entrance. Still being cautious until I know what to expect. Lol, “is it working?” (Yes I know it probably is).

Still very pleased with the quiet aspect, still testing on the range.

Edit: Attached a pic of yesterday's detection. Not sure what I think about that. Thoughts, anyone?

Just got mine (purely stock settings) and it alerts much sooner, very nice! My old RD doesn't really pick up on the BSM, but I did find a few on the freeway this morning. I think maybe chevy or another domestic brand.

Old one did alert to a honda, where the Pro M didn't even care :)

Good stuff Radenso!

Welcome aboard, you made a very fine choice. The filtering on the Pro M is amazing. If the range suits my needs, I will probably keep it until the next gen. Running out of time to make a decision, and the old saying goes 'when it doubt....' (not just refrigerator logic)

Also hope you are not running those side-by-side. Search around about running 2 detectors.

Yup I know about that, but just the M in on wake-up at about 5am, good call.

I cringe when I see these people testing 2+ detectors side by side. My old solo, if I bump the volume, I can make almost any other detector go off (fun stuff while driving!)

Finally got a hit on the move! 35.5 freeway. I was not quite late yet but was a little nervous about running hot since I haven’t had a lot of seat time and practice with the Pro M.

First was a moon beam, dropped from +20 to about +10, then I got a hit and solid latch, dropped to +5, then ramp went rest of the way up, then got eyes on him.

Not too shabby.

I've had this detector for over two months and my only two complaints are inability to change tones to something higher pitched to make it easier to hear AND I'm getting what seem to be Ka falses. Driving on a busy highway here in NH and random full power Ka alerts hit me, then fade away. No LEOs around that I have seen. It repeats several times on the same trip. Other detectors are not doing this with Ka. There are a LOT of cars on the other side of the highway (and not many on my side) so some of these cars could have a device that is triggering it. I am not sure. I have POP off, Ka Narrow, KA filter, TSR full on. Basically any setting that could impact falses. I guess it is possible I am picking up some legitimate LEO Ka somewhere but it hits me at full strength then disappears entirely. It doesn't ramp up at all or have a weak signal. I'll keep driving with it to see what happens.

I seem to be getting a lot of 33.8 hits and nothing in sight. There have been a lot of CO legit 33.8 signals, as I mentioned previously, but definitely something going on with the 33.8 (these are usually the Cobras and satellite dishes, from what I have read) Got one driving through taco hell earlier today, no 5-0 anywhere.. I believe the KA filter is enabled on my unit. These false alerts remind me of BSM, they jump in and ramp up to about 4-6 then they disappear.

And the tones- I realized today I would almost prefer to swap the KA and K band tones.

So another development. My wife drove my car with the R7, she didn't like it at all. Plus she fat fingered the lockout and mute button all morning so I am going to have to start over....

She came home and said "take that other noisy ****er out of my car, I want the small one" (Pro M).

Got my Redline back!! But now I am like... Wait, was this a victory? Now I don't have a Radenso til next gen....

This is exactly what I'm talking about! Thanks for verifying it. It makes me slam on my brakes. My escort detectors don't really get any Ka falses so im used to slowing down immediately. I hope they can narrow this down and fix it.

Happy wife, happy life. No more complaints about the detector. Only when we trade vehicles for the carseat. It has been nice to have a quiet ride with the family and still have some CM in the vehicle. Only thing left for me to do is order an extra power cable, suction cups (travel kit), and a shirt over at the Radenso website. :)cough: Large :cough:) :p;)

I really think this is going to be the most tolerable unit to take the family half way across the country without spending a lot of time setting it up or constantly muting it.

One update, I reflashed my R7 to 124 and it SMOKED the previous K speed sign results (including the Pro M) I mentioned in a previous post here. Have been running R7 exclusive this week, and back to Redline in my foul weather/beater car. V1 got demoted to the truck for now (yes, blasphemy! I just don’t have enough cars!)

Also looking forward to an update that slows down some of these 33.8 BSM like alerts, seems like I’m not the only one taking notice. They are not nearly as frequent as the K junk from other units but still a bit inconvenient. I am afraid these are going to be the reason Bosslady didn’t slow down for a legit threat. She already got too comfortable with the mute button on the Redline. I am trying to retrain her to “just slow down when this one beeps” but it is still beeping KA for “no reason” at times. Has already saved her once too, though. So she is starting to trust it.

So final update I can really offer here, as the wifey mostly drives with the Pro M now... And I admit I am a little jealous....

Bought a cheapo $32 mirror mount and bolted the suction mount to it (you guys know the one...) the original suction cups just kept falling off the windshield. They are pretty much flat now, not sure if anyone else has this issue?

Same with my GF ... She is Veeeeery B!tchy ... ehrr ... "opinionated" and she absolutely hated my R3. And I had it locked down to practically no signal during her tenure ... L0L.
I told her this is the schizznit and top-rated and she told me she would rather drive without a detector than be subjected to the "Alerts".

Luckily my Pro M upgrade arrived during the work week and I swapped it back and hard-wired it just below RVM.

So I feel ya my friend.
Granted my R3 was hott and would sniff the LEOs earlier, but the trade off was just too much. Besides my Pro SE (( No BSM CHIP), ( predecessor) to the Pro M would sniff out the Leos everytime and plenty of time to react. My DFR7 not so much. The pro M is DEFINITELY GF/Wifey/passenger friendlier !! I now run the Remote version of the Pro M ... the RCM and Loooove it !!

So ~1200 miles into a road trip across 6 states, the ProM has been pretty good.

A few close calls, and a few falses, but in large there has been little to no issues with getting from +10/+15 or so down around PSL without even touching the brakes. Had to throw out the anchor when I realized I was +20something one or two spots (the roads are so wide, flat and smooth out here!).

Some of the detections have been annoyingly long. Well, annoying for my passengers :p I found that I was able to turn the volume down, despite my previous gripe about volume, and find a happy medium of audible alerts versus sanity.

I am so glad I picked this detector for the trip.

One negative I have noticed, the volume could stand to be louder or the tones more obnoxious. Windows down and/or radio loud and the tones don't seem to cut through the noise very well..
I guess I could roll up the windows and turn the radio down... but where is the fun in that? Volume might be more acceptable in the family car, we tend to leave the windows up and ride around with the AC on more than I do by myself.

You might consider using a Blendmount. It puts the detector closer to you and since I did that, hearing it has not been a problem for me even with the tunes cranked up.

I have the Pro M mirror mounted in our family car, I think the issue is the wind and road noise because it is an older Subaru. Almost impossible to hear with the windows down, especially over 70.

In the rental it is sticky cupped to the black dots, much newer and quieter ride and actually ended up turning down the volume.

Right around 2400 miles and the Pro M really shined.

Reasonably quiet when it needed to be, ample time when real alerts popped up. I am convinced this thing saved me more than the cost just on this trip.

Few newer Hondas and Mazdas got me; the newer Hondas were sometimes difficult to tell the difference, the ramp up would spike all the way up to 8 and 9. A little different from the normal 1 then 4 bar then quiet BSM alerts I had gotten used to. There were a ton of speed signs and road work, I was getting some pretty long detections between the traffic and the flat lands.

I will be rocking my current collection of miscellaneous brands until (if/when) the next windshield detector comes from Radenso. I was pretty happy with it before, now I am very happy. My wife even reminded me to put it back in her car when we got home.

Now due to mechanical difficulties and not much time to work on things, wife and I are trading FXTs. Basically I am more willing/able to deal with the hard start after fueling (need to get rid of the charcoal canister and junk, then use my cobb race tune software and reflash the car).

The kicker is, I have an RJ11 setup, she has the Radenso Pro cable. So she gets to run the R1 (or V1) until I get around to it. I don’t think it will last long. I just hope she doesn’t throw it out the window in the meantime (at least not the V1).

Got the Radenso back! For a while, anyway....

Yea, I think the 24.160-164 is knocking up the Pro M. Seeing more and more cars using this with recent couple weeks running R7. With the R7, it is like a perfect BSM Detector. It find them all and alerts. LOL. Pro M with inaccurate signal display, would confuse many who normally have Honda and others BSM blocked. The newest Honda will use the .16x frequencies.

This 24.16X crap is getting bad. Had a Brand spanking New Escalade hammered the R7 for a couple miles, from behind. Eventually, got far enough ahead where it was not a factor. But then, came up on family truckster Pacifica, that kicked off the R7 again. Was like that all weekend. Wife was cranked from all the R7 false noise.

I can see a commercial from this

Man and wife driving with mans detectors falsing

Wife grabs the pro m from her car and puts it in mans car. They go driving. Nice and quiet. They turn and look at each other and smile

Get home park the car. Wife exits car and stops ,turns around and says “honey don’t forget to put the pro m back into my car”
