I’m on RDF because I want to avoid speeding tickets. Cops, however, are a crucial part of our society. It’s sad to see this kind of treatment of PD. Most are good people just doing their jobs. This guy clearly has a few loose screws. When people claim “police corruption” I doubt they are referring to cops telling them to take their yard sign down. This guy is manufacturing a problem to generate YouTube drama.

I agree. The way I see it, a cop does his job. Most of them are outstanding citizens and willing to sacrifice life and self for others and justice. With that being said, there are some laws that I feel are in place for a good reason (e.g. speeding can take lives if done recklessly). Speeding is technically a crime (as it should be) but can be done safely, which is why I sometimes personally choose to 'push the boundaries.' Furthermore, I believe in the inherent freedoms we have (freedom to know when you are under surveillance by E.M. radiation). But I will wholeheartedly accept a ticket if I am caught in violation of the law, and hold no ill feelings against those that enforce that law.

Agree re language but they were not gently asking him if he had a permit, they knew he did, they had a problem with the sign in his hand, did you watch the same video that I did? And no matter how they asked, they had no right to, but you don't consider a police officer falsely accusing you of violating a law and possibly giving you a ticket until you prove him otherwise 'abusive'? I rest my case, society has changed as to what they feel are acceptable behaviour regarding their rights.
Come on, Jen. I am not saying what the cops did was right, I was just saying he didn't have to say all those things like "go **** yourself" or "you can jump in front of a car" even if cops wanted to intentionally annoy him, filming what the cops did and politely telling them that they're wrong would've been enough.

This is like the forum on internet: if someone wants to annoy you in some way - there are better tools to use than responding to someone with "**** you" and similar words ;-)

Here we go, he has two that are more appropriate to this group :)

Doesn’t even have a yellow safety vest on as he walks right out into traffic forcing everyone to jam on their brakes. Revenue before safety. Hmmmmm 46 in a 30 for the BMW, I wonder if he was really only going 30 and it was "just a cop being a cop" as some have written on here... :hmm: ;)

Note: I do agree with you all on certain things, this is a good example, in the 2nd video below, he films a lady wearing an oxygen mask. I don't feel this is appropriate, it may be legal, but it's dangerously close to the HIPPA (security standards and general requirements for protecting health information) regulations regarding medical privacy and just tacky in my opinion.....in fact I'm going to remove the link to the second video as after review, it's not related to laser as the first one was and just plain tacky.

Part 1

Part 2:
REMOVED

Yea, I agree, he was over the top for sure, some of these so called auditors are way over, check out that Bau video I shared a link to previously and below for you, he's out of contol and is going to get hurt one day... it takes a very strong willed kind of cop to not lose your mind and your control when you run into that guy... how most of these guys don't get brought up on charges of disturbing the peace is really interesting...

I'm not gonna defend the cops in these videos - I agree that they should have put on the vests, and yes they are standing with radar to get more money for city and for themselves, however the dude who films it also runs across the street twice in an unsafe area just "for more content" for his channel ;-) And it seems like he tried to annoy people even there by asking random person if he got a ticket, same goes in second video with the camera filming which some people might not like.

Seems like he just intentionally trying to be an asshole, which is just wrong even if he has legal rights to do so (to annoy people with random questions and his camera). Kind of hard to feel any sympathy for such person even if the cops in some of his videos do not follow the proper procedures and he is certainly NOT encouraging a good behavior with these videos, but just showing others that it's ok to be an asshole if you are legally allowed to do that by using his own behavior to do so. Here is even better video of him trying to harass a bus driver who was clearly not interested in talking to him:
Sees a person filming, immediately crosses the street in a DANGEROUS area and not at crosswalk, starts to talk to her, gets no response, "No comment? Typical!", continues with "She said to other person that I was obnoxious... As if ignoring me is not being obnoxious", forces woman to run into the bus and close the door.
Come on, if you want to show examples of where normal people politely contest the behavior of police - you should use other videos, not the videos of this asshole.

Great feedback, I agree, I saw him do it several times myself, jaywalking, that's why I love what happens to bao in his video, he gets nailed for it. My original post in this thread was more about the police abusing their authority than him being a dick, that was a given (he never jaywalked in it). Him being an ass doesn't affect me, police laying false charges does... but yes, agree.. pretty hypocritical to scream at the police for not doing something as you jaywalk...absolutely.

Note: I never said in any of my posts that he was normal and politely contesting the police, you did. I'd never say that, he obviously has issues and is far from polite so not sure where you're going with that false allegation, what are you, a cop? :p :p :p :p ;););)

I agree that some cops are not great and some overstep their boundaries but that dude is a douche and a bully and I hate bullies.

he is not doing a service to the community, he is doing disservice to the community for his own benefit. He wants to generate sensational content for his channel and he is using specific cuts of the video just to get clicks and advertisers. What he is doing is just pissing me off. I didn't even click the 2nd link, the dude is just a cancer to the society. I bet your ass that if he actually passed the police exam and became a cop than he would be the worst asshole cop you ever came across. Since he would be a true bully asshole, provoking you to make a mistake so he can now use his power as a cop to arrest you.
