I would have to agree. That V8 is a monster in that size car. Sounds good too

Whoops, I saw the "335i M" and thought it could be considered one. Rookie mistake. Thanks for the correction.
BMW has been handing out the M badge like candy these days. The current version of his 335i is now an M340i, but it's still not an M car like the M3. M-sport has long been an appearance package option on the non-m cars though, and that's what his 335i is.

Yup...the ///M cars are delineated by VIN. BMW assigns a “WBS” VIN to ///M cars, while “WBA” VINs are for cars that come off the normal production line.

Congrats!! Sounds like you got an awesome deal for that M3 335i M. Just to compare, I picked up a 2011 328xi 6-speed manual with 40k miles on it back in 2015 for about $12K and have been loving it ever since. It's my first real sports car so maybe next one I'll try to find an M series.
Sport line pack adds M3 suspension Red stitched sport wheel black mirror caps aluminum trim Gloss black trim Anthracite headliner Y rated summer run flats 155mph high speed synch

Glad you like that 6 speed
Only thing missing

So not to rain on your parade, because it's still a nice car, but it's still not M3 suspension. I'd rather share information than keep to myself. The M3 has different control arms and completely different suspension geometry, as well as different springs and shock absorbers. For a RWD F30, there's a few different suspension options. First there's the standard suspension, which is geared a little bit more towards comfort, and then there's the sport suspension, which changes lowers the ride height by changing to a shorter and a bit stiffer spring, as well as different shock absorbers to go with that spring, and last there's also an option called Adaptive M Suspension. If I remember right, it's a separate option that requires the track handling package. The adaptive suspension has the ability to change between comfort and sport. Now this still isn't the same suspension that's found on the M3, as the adjustable shock absorbers on the M3 go even stiffer, and I believe have more settings in between, but it's the closest you can get on a non-m car.

If you want to see all the options that your car has, you can put the last 7 of the vin into mdecoder.com . I'd be happy to answer any questions you have about them, as their wording can be a bit interesting at times.

That irritates me
I was told the Sport line package had the M suspension
It has the upgraded auto with eco comfort sport and sport+
I'll pm you the last 7 of my vin and then you'll what kind of suspension I have (when you have time)
The only thing that's missing is a backup cam a bit odd its missing w all the options

So apparently they renamed the Sport Suspension to M Sport Suspension for the F30. I've been looking at xDrive cars, so I hadn't seen that change, as they only get xDrive suspension or M Adaptive Suspension.

It's still definitely a solid upgrade from the standard suspension, and an option I'd highly recommend for a RWD car, but they save the really nice stuff just for the M3.

Hope you don’t have to put a turbo on it ever. My 2013 328i sport with 100k on the n26 is in the shop for a $3k turbo replacement as we speak. Not cool lol.

I love mine even though I did have to replace the oil filter housing gasket and do a very expensive trans service otherwise I had no issues even though everyone told me I would. I would have never got an old one with a loan payment you will need that for maintenance even preventive maintenance gets expensive. Old bimmers (if you have the cash) you can get for a steal everyone goes for a lexus now no matter how many miles are on them.

Why not? A big turbo kit for the N55 is about $3k and you can get crazy amounts of HP!

Like boost said a blown turbo presents opportunity haha
Though I really dont need that for at least a couple years building my funds back up
Sorry for the luck
I've never trusted a turbo on a 4 cylinder
You just have to get into the turbo too much everyday
With the 6 I cruise around town passing cars and dont crack 3000 rpm
Down low its quick but when it gets into boost over 6000 rpm its downright scary
I plan on upping boost 5 psi
I wonder what that converts to in 1/4 mile

I have a 2017 330ix that is a turbo 4. I wanted a 340ix which is a 6. The store said I did not need the 6 I would go through tires. I have driven 5 series for years both the 6 and the V8 the turbo 4 is fine on the road but I forget and jumping out into traffic scary until the turbo spools up. Lease is up early December.

Good luck and enjoy your car.
