I was passing through Alvarado today and got hits twice from two different cops along I-35 running K-band (24.127) - Alvarado PD. One of them was sitting on the onramp pointed backwards, shooting out his front windshield towards oncoming traffic on the freeway. Odd. But it was clear as day, not another signal for miles, and there he is. R7 tagged him from a good mile away, and then switched to side to rear just as I passed him.

I thought K band was all but gone, but here's one clear use of it in North Texas, twice in one area.

Be safe out there!

K band is sadly still in use around Texas. I get it about once a week traveling all around San Antonio, Austin, and college station.
Jag42 just posted an r7 k band save video around New Braunfels.

Thanks Gents, I thought it was pretty much gone, but now I'll pay more attention to the K-band signals...

K band is used everywhere in Bandera and surrounding counties. I encounter it as much as Ka.

All county and Bandera City Marshall’s (basically Bandera PD) are K, period, as far as I can tell. Only Ka is from DPS troopers passing through.

Alvarado shot me with lidar about a year and half ago too. They’ve always used 35 as their atm, screw that town.
