Thanks for the report, looking into it.

Should be working now
And indeed it is :) thanks! They have started doing aircraft enforcement near my area and I cross some vascar lines so I appreciate the aircraft coverage :)

I'm having the aircraft alert issues as well. It worked yesterday afternoon, but I noticed connection issues at around 10:30 pm PST.

Still not receiving aircraft alerts as of this afternoon. Thought it was a fluke this morning so paid no mind to it.

Guess I should check the thread more often.

Sh*t always happens when I'm on vacation in the middle of nowhere... Looks like the server I've created for the aircraft alerts is a bit defective (I'm suspecting hardware problems) - I'm hitting the same issue for the second time in a row.
A reboot helped this time. Will replace the server and set up a backup one with a different cloud provider once I'm back.

Hey, even without Aircraft data the Daze advanced alerts are a huge help. Gave me advance warning of a laser trap today. Thanks!

Do you want access to hosting provided by RDF? Tell me the environment you need and we can provide it, at no cost. We host sites such as vortexradar.com and some others (we have two dedicated servers, multiple cloud servers, various CDN services and enterprise cloudflare access) - it's literally something we offer for developers/members of this forum who have something to offer the community. We can give you a separate section similar to the JBV1 section as well.

PM me with details if this is something that interests you.

I still need your reply for my request for a service mentioned in PM to you a while back. :)

Looks like it was working again as of this morning. Thanks for the timely fix!

I spread the word about it on my transporter forum to other drivers. Hopefully some adopt it but most are a bunch of sheep who do whatever Mr DOT says.

This works much better than waze for me. Will be using it more(even though I hate using an extra device other than for navigation). The app works fine though, thanks for your hard work and effort!

OK, so I had a good opportunity to use the app this evening and it's great! Ratted out 2 staties and a local. It's awesome that it gives you the time since the report and that it doesn't seem to make my phone hot like that other app.

Now a couple of things that I hope weren't touched on too much yet. I skimmed the thread and possibly missed something in my excitement to use the app.

First, I realize that the map portion is still a work in progress.

1. The map in use is out of date by at least a couple years in my area.
2. Do you plan on making it possible to zoom out and scroll around the map to see anywhere you'd like and have a "recenter" button just like in Google Maps? This feature is pretty important for the RDF crowd as we like to actually look for speed traps to crash.

Now for some stuff that I would love but isn't necessary to the function of the app.

Please please please use piggy icons for the cops and flying pig icons for the aircraft. :cheerleader:
Piggy noises as alerts would be great too.

Pig Icons would be cool, the best would be if we could pick audio files from our phone like ring tones,

Thanks for your feedback!

1. I use Open Street Maps as a backend, can you check if the map is up to date on the OpenStreetMap
2. Implementing this would take pretty much effort, now I'm more focusing on features helping with spotting leos while driving (e.g. predict traps with historical data, background operation, more data sources).

It appears to be correct in the open street map link. It was definitely wrong in the app though. There was a new highway put in a couple years ago and I was traveling on that highway...... On the map it showed the old highway and i was off-roading... Haha. A couple of the police alerts also appeared out in space on the new highway. If i get over that way today I'll take a couple screenshots.

On number 2, that's cool. There is definitely some stuff that's more important than that request. I just hope you can put it on the list for the future since it's really useful.

Thanks again!

I use a 3rd party tiles provider (they use osm as a backend) for styled map display. If they turn out to use that outdated information, I'll definitely consider switching the provider or setting up my own one.
