Glad I wasn't on a bike lol. Funny thing was a bike just passed me about 5 minutes before that. Kawi sport touring biker.
I was about to say that. One of the few things cages are better than bikes at.

Ouch! The rules about deer crossing are simple. Attempt to brake but never ever turn the wheel, ever. It would always be so much simpler if I too had a semi! It never goes that well with a front drive car......

My last deer obliterated my brand new car...

Jeez, you plowing through a deer is like us normal people running over a squirrel lol.
I love animals so it stinks when things like this happen. But glad you were in the truck if things like that are going to happen.

This is very true especially in a Semi. All you can do is brake hard and hope that you give them enough time to clear.

I feel the same way a man. Good comparison. 77 thousand pounds vs a few hundred pounds makes quick work of that deer.

Was this early morning or evening? Lately we've been avoiding really early fall departures because of the deer risk. Also do you have to report it?
It was around 830 am. Sun comes up around 5 a.m. out here so I was actually surprised to see her out that late. Not sure about reporting it being required. I figured no damage no need to report.

Yeah, I figured. That is pretty late but if it's cool they'll be moving around.

Sometimes I'll see corpses all over the road and really slow down and start looking but they can still come out of no where. Deer strikes on sports cars are no joke.

When I moved to Florida I was driving a small Nissan pickup. Around 4:30 a.m. just outside San Antonio Texas on I-10 I crested a hill at 80 or so and 5 crossed in front of me. I took out 3. It took out the entire front end. Bumper, radiator, head lights, grill, AC evaporator. Luckily parts were cheap and I was able to do the work myself.

You're lucky YOU weren't one of the parts that needed replacing.

You can't tell from the video cuz it's too dark but there were three of them crossing from the right to the left. Yes the last one was taking her sweet ass time.
