Would love to see a response to this from Radenso reps. All the advertising, documentation, etc. says the RD firmware can be updated from "your computer". Yet, that's not true - only if your computer is a PC. That's like saying you can drive your vehicle to the store (unless it is a truck).

With Mac being such a popular platform, what are the plans to provide a FW installer for Mac OS?

Bootcamp and Parallels aren't working for everyone, and in many cases (including my own) those workarounds aren't always an option to begin with. So lacking any plans to support updates from a Mac could be a deal breaker for me, as much as I like what I see with the Pro-M otherwise.

Thanks in advance on any updates you can provide!

MacOS would be great.. and they know it's been on many people's wishlists for a long time..

(I don't even have a PC or access to one. The only reason I have Windows is because someone gave me a copy as part of their family purchase, and I'm running it through bootcamp)

Why can't people understand this is a business decision. Saying 'PC's [sp] suck.' won't convince anyone. Windows has over 77% of the operating system market, OSX has 13%.

Wonder what the actual rate of operators that are non-enterprise. Most enterprises don’t want to pay the premium that it costs for hardware and IT support of MAC when windows is well established on that front.

Best thing to do is boot camp Windows or borrow a friends computer for the install.

Because things don't happen by itself? Things don't magically appear without people asking for it or showing a demand for it.

Over the past few years, several people have requested an OSX version and '...things don't happen...' unless there is an ROI.

The simple facts are;
1. OSX users are a small minority when compared to Windows users.
2. Therefore, they are a small minority of Radenso radar detector users.

Investing time (money), and taking developers away from implementing features more people want, is a poor business decision.

If I am going to be totally honest, the reason why we do not have a OS X updater on the Pro M is not because of financial reasons, but rather that our overseas partners believe it is a low priority. I would like one very much as a dedicated OS X user, but it's just not in the cards in the near future for our current gen products. No amount of asking is going to change this. The pace at which overseas development happens is glacial.

Every detector that is engineered solely by Radenso going forward will have a platform-agnostic update solution whether that is an app or a PC/OS X/something else.

That might be the case if the same developers worked on the updating software were the same the ones working on firmware.

As Jon stated below it's out of his control.
