I was totally unaware of this. I thought it handled everything at this point. Thanks for noting this.
I was under that impression too, until I asked to make sure, I was really surprised since they are a European company.

I have old VIP+Laser with laser box secure sealed fender of BMW. Looking at the new set up to duplicate my 3 front RV + 3 front TX I would have to run 6 wires through the firewall. I guess Stinger thinks it's no big deal to drill lots of holes in the firewall.

update:additonal comment removed , two different comments that were merged.

I have older version of laser and the lasers connected to a box that was in the engine compartment thus having one cable to thread through firewall. Can the new laser box be located in the engine compartment or does it have to go inside the vehicle?

The new box IS NOT water proof you need to mount it somewhere behind your firewall.
I was thinking of purchasing the new box but this very thing is what has stopped me.

Thanks
that's way too many wires to run through firewall on my BMW.
Running two with old system (radar+laser) was a challenge, 7 (1 radar + 6 laser) would be impossible.

It could be possible to place it in a water proof box, though I don't know how that would be for heat dissipation in summer.

Some BMW's have waterproof boxes already under the passenger side hood that houses the ecm etc.I install the alp units in there all the time.
