Is this still a go? Thundershowers forecast for the afternoon; hopefully they hold off! I'm pretty pumped to meet some new RDF members!

It was awesome meeting you guys & the drive back to edmonton was incredibly fun.

special thanks to vibe for hosting us , and to say the least i was extremely impressed with their shop, and all the work they had to show off. You guys will definitely be my first recommendation to anyone who requires any jammer or audio installs.

the other thing about vibe i would like to comment on is how knowledgeable all the staff are about jammers & guns. they want to keep learning more, and this makes there installs that much better opposed to many audio stores who don’t know anything about how jammers / guns function, but just how to install them.

thanks for the awesome meet, can’t wait for the next! after my first event i’m glad to officially be able to say i’m REALLY a part of the forum!

I feel bad for the people who didn't join us. That run back to Edmonton was wicked, I used almost a quarter tank tho haha. It was very nice to see some new faces and some old ones as well. We will have to maybe get together again before summer ends.

Thanks to Austin and the whole crew for their incredible hospitality and willing to learn. This was by far my favorite testing event!

Yes, the meet up was awesome. The drive back to Edmonton was fun. I got caught with several red lights on our way out of Red Deer so @System and @jackhelmhold were able to get 5-7 minutes head start but I knew they both run single antenna detectors (R3s I believe) so I knew how I could slow them down so I could catch up :)
I apologize to @System and @jackhelmhold for zapping them with Stalker ATR 34.7 over several hills but it worked. I knew R3s will pick up faint ka signals and will slow them down. After 20 minutes I found them in the right lane doing PSL so I took the lead and we were in Edmonton in a no time. This is a perfect example why I am not letting go of my V1 with dual antennas because if I get faint rear ka alert I just keep pushing it. I d slow down with a single antenna detector also.
There was an EPS lidar speed trap at the very entrance into the city. The shooter did not zap me but maybe he hit Jack caz he was behind in the fast lane.

We all had ALPs at the meet up. I just briefly give an overview of my vehicle and my setup. Course length approximately 1800 ft. Lots of reflective traffic signs on both sides of the road.
ALP HiFi 6 head system fw 5.5.3. (3 RX front and 3 RX rear)
Front was solid until 126ft away vs DETC LE.
Rear got PT @ 1650ft away at the very end of the course but that was due because I entered a curve and it was over 20 or more degrees off axis hit. I ll let @System pitch in since he was a shooter, (there might be another brief PT around 600ft but I am not sure, maybe I am just imagining).
Also since 3 rear RX sensor are connected with a splitter on R1X (receiver) port, occasionally my extreme ends of taillights will produce a PT. If I move the splitter on R2 (transmitter) port rear will be JFG bulletproof all day long however I was told by AL directly I could burn out my ALP because there s to much power going into a single port against DET guns. Splitter on R1X is safe though.

I also shot @System's car and was able to single PT his triple front @ 245ft away and his rear @ 297ft on an extreme ends of passenger HL and passenger TL.

That course is not jammer friendly. I was able to get a PT on every single car on every single run. I really wish we brought TMG to see how they stacked up, but we will bring them next time. Now, about the punch thru's. This is the first time I've had any sort of PT since the TX were released. I honestly don't think any of us have to worry about. The furthest PT on the day was 1618 ft. If we tested on a traditional testing course I know the results would have been a hell of a lot different.

The first time I got a Ka alert on the way back I said "I bet that's Bailey" because it was I/O and very sporadic. The dual NR was able to sniff you out from far away and thankfully @jackhelmhold stuck with me. Dick move using the Stalker but it got us running as a pack which was very fun. Thanks for the day guys, today was definitely a highlight for me!! I can't wait to do this again. Vibe is a wicked spot because it's central for all of us

Thanks to @BaileyAB ‘s shenanigans, i’ve decided that i’d eventually like to get an R7 for the arrows , but at the moment can’t justify upgrading when i just purchased the R3 a couple months before release of the R7. Glad he pulled that as running as a pack was awesome, and getting to drive with other quick drivers is somewhat of a rare experience.

As @BaileyAB mentioned there was EPS shooting a Marksman Compact coming into Edmonton. They hit me going 126km/h in an 80km/h or 90km/h zone?? not sure what the PSL is coming to the henday there. Slowed down, and let it auto-JTK after 4 seconds. never received a second look from the officer shooting.

was really impressed with how my DIY install held up, and this made me feel much more comfortable driving quickly as i knew it was unlikely to get a front PT ( don’t have any rear heads , so still have to worry about that for the time being )

great welcoming into the community , and can’t wait for the next meet! i’ve decided that i’ll travel anywhere in Alberta for one of these after seeing how eventful this was!

never received a second look from the officer shooting.
I thought he shot you but I was also observing the shooter while I passed him on and he did not give you any second looks.

A big shout out to @VibeCarAudio for hosting today and the use of their Dragon! Certainly a very neat shop! Their staff were very enthusiastic and extremely accommodating. That Merc CLS TX install was even more impressive in person!

It was great meeting all the RDF members today, some of us very new to the CM game and some very experienced and knowledgeable heads too. Thanks for all the advice, I certainly learnt a lot! It was also great seeing all the other installs!

As mentioned it was not an ideal course but my Front Install held up well but changes certainly can be made with winter slush and overpass shots in mind - I hadn't even considered these factors. PT at short range, 133ft if I recall correctly on the Dragon. JTG on the other 2 guns. Having only 1 Rear RX I fully expected PT's but @BaileyAB had fairly IPT's with his 2 Guns (Thanks for bringing them!) and Vibe's Dragon, I was hoping for at least a slight delay on the Ultralyte & Stalker. That 2nd rear head is definitely needed in the future - thankfully Calgary is a more front on machine.

That drive back to Edmonton sure sounds like it was fun! You'll have to remember what frequencies @BaileyAB is putting out for the next time...

With my newly found confidence in my front Install the drive back to Calgary went by pretty quick too! :bmwman:

Having tried the different guns I found they weren't quite as instant IMO as I originally thought they would be (albeit I wasn't bracing myself on anything for stability and not at all experienced in shooting) - having shot non jammer vehicles. This reiterates the importance of the JTK to me as the officer would still get their reading under what appears to be very normal operating to them and be none the wiser to any Jammers.

On a side note it was interesting to note that my Uniden R3 alerted to the ECCM On Dragon (A surprise to me) & Stalker but not to the Ultralyte at all.

Here is @BaileyAB trolling @System and I... was at it for a solid 10 minutes until he caught up with us... 10 minutes of going between 100 and 120 makes me want to buy an R7 just for the arrows

Here is the hit coming into Edmonton going onto the henday.... was at 131km/h , but saw Bailey slam his brakes on the right of my screen and so slowed down to 126km/h before I was hit, JTK of 4 seconds was enough for me to get from 126km/h to 80km/h... yes i nose dived... but there was no second look from them.. wasn’t sure if the speed limit is 80 or 90 in that section as it is right in the middle of switching around that area so dropped to 80 to be safe..
